The store has been open for the past 4 hours and Y/n still hasn't shown up for her shift, she was usually on time and never late. Y/n took her job seriously and her absence worried Alex.
Alex had seen the wounds on Y/n's hands multiple times, He always wanted to ask her about it but never had the guts to do so as Y/n tends to keep personal things to herself, and rarely ever let's it out....Thousands of scenarios raced past Alex's mind as he thought of the reason as to why Y/n wasn't showing up but the only reasonable excuse was that she probably overslept. Alex sighed as he came up with a less tragic reason for her absence. Alex decided to make his way to her apartment to check up on her just in case.
"Raikan! I'll be back in some time...watch over the counter for me please," Alex yelled over at one of the employees.Alex walked out the store, walking to the part of town Y/n lived at
Le royal time skipAlex knocked on her apartment door, waiting for the girl to open her door, No response...Alex knocked yet again, His worry grew as he didn't receive a response.
"Y/n, I'm coming in!" Alex said from behind the door. He opens the door, luckily it was unlocked.....How? Y/n made sure it was closed last night...
Alex found his way around the small apartment, he walked past her kitchen, the dining and then reached a room at the far end of the hallway. The door creaks open as Alex got in, there he saw Y/n on her bed, sleeping peacefully-or so he thought-The male walked up to the resting girl and called her name, Y/n didn't respond, Alex grew impatient and shook...Her body moved gently but it was due to the shaking...He then shook her once more only for her to change position....Her back was now lying against the bed, Y/n's face was violently pale, dark circles beneath her eyes, Her hair was a mess and her body felt so vulnerable.
Alex didn't know what to do, except rush Y/n to the nearest hospital...He picked the said girl and got into his car. Drove as fast as his car could take him and he soon reached the desired place. Y/n was placed on a hospital bed, Doctors and nurses ran to her aid.
Soon Alex found out that Y/n had blacked out due to blood loss, She cut way too much and it resulted in serious damages to her body, Alex knew this had to stop but there's no talking her out of it. Alex paced the hospital waiting room, anxiety gnawing at his insides. His mind was a whirlwind of worry and guilt. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he could have done something to prevent it. He recalled the signs he had noticed lately - the distant looks, the forced smiles, the moments of silence that seemed heavier than ever. He wished he had reached out sooner, spoken up, or simply been there more for Y/n.
As he waited, his thoughts raced. He berated himself for not seeing the depth of Y/n's pain earlier. What if he had been more attentive? What if he had noticed the cries for help hidden behind the facade?
One of the nurses walked out the emergency room to inform Alex that Y/n had woken up, but no one was to see her....
As Y/n slowly regained consciousness, she felt disoriented and groggy. The sterile smell of the hospital room filled her nostrils, and the soft hum of medical equipment surrounded her. Blinking her eyes open, Y/n tried to piece together what had happened. Memories flooded back, causing a pang of pain in her chest.
Y/n's gaze fell upon the stark white ceiling above, and she realized she was lying in a hospital bed. The events leading up to her fainting spell came rushing back, the overwhelming emotions and the impulse to harm herself. Guilt and shame washed over her, knowing she has hurt herself in such a way.
Y/n shifted uncomfortably in the bed, her thoughts swirling with a mixture of fear and uncertainty. She couldn't bear to face the consequences of her actions, nor could she shake the feeling of despair that had led her to this point.
Slowly, she turned her head to the side, noticing a nurse bustling about nearby. Summoning the courage, she spoke softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Excuse me, what happened? How long have I been her?"
The nurse turned to Y/n with a gentle smile, her eyes filled with compassion. "You fainted, dear. But you're going to be alright now. You've been here for a few hours. The doctors have been taking care of you."
Y/n nodded silently, feeling a lump form in her throat. The same nurse walked up to Y/n and sat on a stool beside her.
"Darling I've heard of your tough life from that coworker of yours-" The woman said."Alex?" Y/n asked gently,
"Yes, I know you have it hard in the big city but you have an opportunity." The nurse said.
"Ever heard of surrogacy?" The nurse questioned Y/n. She wasn't oblivious to the medical field and knew quite a lot, Surrogacy is the mode of carrying a child for a couple who can't do it themselves, nine months later, the surrogate mother gives birth to the child.
"Yes why?" Y/n answered.
"Well, you know, it's quite an unexpected turn of events. When Mr. Bakugou approached me with the idea, I was taken aback, to say the least. I mean, being a surrogate for a wealthy CEO's child wasn't exactly impossible for you. But after giving it some serious thought, I realized what an incredible opportunity it could be.
Sure, it's a bit daunting, carrying someone else's child, especially someone as high-profile as Mr. Bakugou. But when I saw how much it meant to him and the future of Titan, I knew I had to seriously consider it. Plus, the compensation they're offering will definitely make a difference in your life.
Of course, there are the medical aspects to consider too. You've gone through all the necessary tests and consultations when you were unconscious, and everything looks good so far. It's going to be a journey, that's for sure, but if you're ready for it, it might change your whole life. And who knows, maybe you'll end up developing a special bond with this little one before they even enter the world."
The nurse explained as Y/n's eyes widened in surprise. The name Bakugou was well-known, even to her. She'd heard of his company's success and his reputation for being both fiercely driven and fiercely private.
The nurse paused, allowing Y/n to process the information.
Y/n's mind raced as she absorbed the nurse's words. Becoming a surrogate mother for someone like Bakugou was a monumental decision, one that would undoubtedly have far-reaching implications.
"I... I don't know what to say," Y/n admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's such a big responsibility, and... and I never imagined being in a situation like this."
The nurse reached across the bed, placing a reassuring hand on Y/n's.
"I understand it's a lot to process, Y/n," The nurse said softly. "But I also know how much suffering you are going through. You have the opportunity to change someone's life in a profound way, to give them the gift of parenthood when they thought it might be out of reach. And believe me, Mr. Bakugou is not taking this lightly. He's committed to providing the best care and support throughout the process."
Y/n took a deep breath, feeling a mixture of nerves and a stirring of something else within her-a sense of purpose, of the potential to make a difference in someone's life in a way she hadn't considered before. It was not like she could deny a lot of money, It was something that she needed in life, and this was a way she could make tons.
"Thank you, Emily," Y/n said sincerely, reading the nurse's name tag. Her uncertainty beginning to ebb. "I'll... I'll definitely think about it."
Emily smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting understanding and encouragement.
"Just remember, Y/n, whatever you decide, we're here to support you every step of the way," Emily reassured her.
As Y/n watched Emily walk away, her mind buzzed with questions and possibilities. The path ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear-whatever decision she made, it would not be to upset someone like Bakugou....The thought of even staying near to someone like him was weird to Y/n
