After 3 days...
"GOOD MORNING FRESHMAN!! Welcome to Royale Academy. I'm Ms. Aruzuella de Mesa, the principal of this academy. We had a classic summer, and here’s hoping you enjoyed every minute of it. I’m delighted to be standing here.
I want to take a moment, now and introduce East Royale Academy members, some who are with us today and all who support our efforts in so many ways: Dr. Albert Royale, Vice Chairperson, Mr. Evan Roosevelt, Secretary, Ms. Ashley Grondine, Mr. Henry Lee, Mr. Art Marcoux and Mr. Kennedy Willette.
I’ve been working with our wonderful support staff to make sure that everything is ready for the start of the new school year, and it’s certain to be a good one. We have a fantastic school system, and I’m proud to be a part of it. Yes, times are tough in this economy, and they have been for some time now. But we’ve shown that we have the ingenuity (and lots of practice!) to make the most of what we have. We are a team, enriched by each individual’s efforts and committed to each other’s success. Collegiality and improvisation characterize our daily work. All students belong to all of us. Let us work together to ensure that every student learns. We can do this by setting high expectations, continuously assessing our progress towards them, and focusing on results. In a culture of collaboration, let us take initiatives to propose changes for the good of the school. John Fitzgerald Kennedy said, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” The Children are the future - we must never lose sight of this. That’s not to say we don’t have some important educational traditions. We do, and we are anchored by them. But change is inevitable. I’d like to quote King Whitney, Jr: “Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.”
Let us not feel threatened and fearful, but rather encouraged and inspired by hope and confidence. You are professionals, and I have the utmost respect for what you do and the difference you make. In this culture of collaboration, let us remember the importance of honest and open communication, and work to maintain it. Let us recognize and appreciate each other’s efforts and dedication. We are ready to greet our students tomorrow. Let them, years from now, remember that we created for them an atmosphere of caring and compassion and humor. You have vision and direction, expertise and enthusiasm, and you have this administration’s full support and gratitude. You are what make us great. You are that which moves us forward. You are the soul of this organization and I thank you all and welcome you back for another year.
Thank You and Welcome! "
Natapos na ang speech ni Ms. de Mesa, it is time for the National Anthem. Umakyat sa stage ang New Symphony to perform it.
Nasa booth sina Stacy, Leif and yung iba pang members.
"Hi! Welcome to New Symphony booth.. we are now accepting male members, for those who want to sign up.
