I woke up in a hospital, my right arm bound in a cast and my head wrapped up. Remembering what had happened last time I was conscious, I looked around frantically, spotting a nurse in the corner of the plain, white room, using a computer.

"Nurse!" I called out frantically.

She jumped, obviously not expecting me awake at this time. Brushing a loose strand of her golden hair behind her ear, she turned her light green eyes towards me, and smiled, "Oh, you're awake earlier than expected, Spencer. What do you need?"

I caught myself gazing into her eyes, and shook myself out of my stupor before replying, "Anny, Annabelle, where is she? Is she okay?"

"Don't worry, your little sister got out with only minor scratching and bruising, in the most part."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, when you fell unconscious, your body toppled on top of hers, and she fractured her leg in the pressure between your body and a fallen brick."

My eyes widened, and I began pushing myself up with my arms before a piercing pain shocked my broken arm, and I fell down on the bed. The nurse scurried over, "Spencer! Stay in bed, your arm is still too weak to support any weight and your head wound is still vulnerable to opening again!"

Gasping from the pain, I stuttered out a plea, "Nurse, I need to see Anny now!"

"No, you need to sleep right now!" She snapped at me. "Annabelle will come around to see you later."

I sighed, seeing I was getting nowhere. Getting comfortable, I settled down for a nap.

A few hours later, I woke up to the cheerful voice of the little angel in our family. I opened my eyes and grinned, "Hey Anny!"

She shrieked in delight and struggled out of our father's hold, bounding over to me, "How are you, Spence? The nurses told me you saved my life!"

My eyes widened, and I looked over at my father, who nodded, a grim look on his face.

"Wow, Anny, are you okay?"

"A fractured leg," she beckoned at her leg, which was in a neon pink boot, "and a few scratches on my arms, but nothing too bad!"

She looked over at my casted arm and bound head and stumbled over to our mother, an excited look in her eyes. I saw her grin and reach inside her purse, pulling a bright pink sharpie out.

"Spence, can I write on your cast?" She asked, biting her lip uncertainly.

"Yeah, sure!" I grinned, holding my arm out for her. I watched as she wrote in sloppy handwriting I♡U and below it From: Anny♥. I smiled at her, and watches her giggle as she outlined it all in a big purple heart.

"That's enough now Anny, my friends will think I'm gay!" I grinned at her, mussing up her hair with my free hand.

A cute little scowl crossed over her face as she backed up, out of my reach.

Our mother asked that Hank, my father, and Annabelle leave the room so she could talk to me. Father nodded and guided Anny out, glancing at me one last time before he shut the door.

Mother ushered the Nurse out as well, stripping me of my cast and head bandage the moment she was out of the room. I struggled to stop her, "Mom, what are you doing?"

"You don't need this. Since you shifted, your healing abilities have increased, so your broken bone should be healed by now. She pressed on where I had broken my skull, "Your head is fine too."

I stood up and shifted, grimacing as the bones in my right arm rearranged themselves.

Look for your wolf, darling. I heard her say in my head. I began searching in my body, cawing when I couldn't notice any canine consciousness in my body. I shifted back, "Mom, I don't think I have a wolf."

She frowned, "That's impossible. Well, we'll see tomorrow. Stay at the hospital overnight to make sure your bones recuperate, we'll be here tomorrow morning."

I nodded and lied down on the bed, falling into a fitful sleep.

Pound. Pound. Stumbling, heavy footsteps broke my sleep, and I pushed myself off the bed, blinking the sleep out of my eyes. The window creaked open, and a raven flew in, closely followed by a lithe tiger. I stumbled away from the tiger, my eyes widening. Suddenly, a beautiful woman was in front of me, and the tiger was gone. There was a raven perched on the woman's shoulder, and I smiled at her, flashing my signature smirk. She smiled sweetly, and beckoned for me to follow her as she climbed out the window. I stumbled after her, my head in a dreamy state. Suddenly, a form was on my back, forcing me to the ground. The form held me still as the woman tied my hands together, her award-winning smile contorted into a scowl, which was directed at me.
