I came to the office wearing kind of the same thing as the first day, i entered everyone was already there and as always they are wearing the same tshirts,
Me : good morning everyone !
They all answered at the same time:good morning Amy!
I went inside and i gently said hi to Chris who was acting busy ,pretending he didn't see me entering
Me : Good morning!
Chris : Good morning Amy!
Me : Am I late ?
Chris : No
Me:so why you're all here before me!
He answered in a mocking way
Chris : Ok,next time we will wait for you to arrive, so we can get inside.
I really don't know why he's acting this weird with me,like if he knows me ,and i was his girlfriend and i cheated on him and now he hates me, anyway i don't care, I didn't answer and i start working.
Chris : Amy !
Me : yes ?
Chris :can you send me the email,you're sending to journalists ?
Me : Yes, sure
I emailed it to him, he still acting so rude and nice at the same time,
He stands up suddenly
Chris: Amy! do you need something, I'm going to get some coffee, you can take a break if you want to!
Me: Yes,sure
He said softly,in a very nice way, like if he's not the same person that was sarcastic to me this morning,i stand up and i followed his steps to the kitchen
Chris: Coffé or tea ?
Me: some tea please
Chris:green tea, fruit and herbal tea which one do you want
Me: Is there a red strawberry tea by any chance.
Chris: yes,is that what you want ?
He showed me the tea bag
Me:yes please
He made tea for me and coffee for himself,he handed me the cup so gently.Paul came in
Paul:are you on a break guys! don't be late for work, and by the Amy, Chris can drive you home everyday.
Me:oh! he doesn't have to thank you
Paul: it's the company's car and he has to.
Awkward!
Me:oh !really that's nice, ok.
That explains he's questions from yesterday,Paul left the room
Chris: do you want to see ,something new
Me: I do i'm bored it's been 2 weeks and we're doing the same thing.
Chris: come with me .
We went to a back door and we went to the top roof of the building but from hidden stairs,the view from there was magnificent ,we can see the whole city.we were standing side to side close to each other,i got a weird feeling,maybe because i've been away from people lately,or maybe because i like him,do I!?
Chris:so what do you think?
Me:that's wonderful i can see my house from here.
His phone start ringing ,he didn't answer,he looked at me,
Chris:we need to get back to work Paul is calling
We got back to work ,we sat in our desks,continue working answering different calls from different people ,the team spirit is here ,we are working hard ,and we are happy.I start enjoying working with him.
At the end of the day i start preparing myself to go home
Chris: don't leave like you did last time,I'm gonna drive you home you can't walk alone,it's dangerous.
Me:Trust me ,I'm fine, I'm used to it,in addition to that I don't want to bother you.
Chris:you're not,and my duty is to drive you home everyday, and I don't live so far from you,so practically ,I'm fine with that .
Me : ok,what can I say ,let's go.
He grabbed his things and we walked into the door together
Chris : after you
Me : Thank you
And i smiled at him,we got into the car he tuned on the radio, there was a beautiful song by Hindi zahra that i like so much i kept singing with it almost the whole ride til i arrived home, i went out from the car
Chris : Hey !Amy, can i pick you up tomorrow morning
Me : oh!you don't have to.
Chris : But I want to
Me: as you like then.
