Chapter 5- Memories and Pain

(A/N note: this is a collab chapter with my friends fanfic. This friend also happens to be the friend I based Brea on. Another fun fact. Lily's POV

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" I block my ears. "Queenie, ow."

"I'm sorry, but I've been waiting for this to happen!"

"Uh-huh. I thought you said you liked him."

"I do! But I don't mind if you get him. You're welcome." I had told Queenie about Zero kissing me. She had not asked about his face. "WAIT. IF HE KISSED YOU THAT MEANS YOU'VE SEEN HIS FACE!!!" What was it with me and jinxing myself? "Yes..." "OMG!!! Is he cute???" "I think so, but he needs a shave. I couldn't really tell BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO SHAVE!!!" I had learned after the game that Zero lived across the hall from me. Literally. His door was closed, but it soon opened and he pokes his head out. "What did you think I was doing?"

"Moping around."

"Fair. Who are you talking to?"

"None of your business."

"Fine." He closes his door. I turn around to see Queenie giving me the 'I'm shipping you two so hard' look. "If you tell anyone, I will tell him about your crush." "I will take it to the grave. Anyway, I gotta go. Places to go, cute boys to see." I laugh. "Bye." "Byeeee." Once she's gone, I close the door and giggle, putting two fingers to my lips. Then reality hits me like a semi-truck smashing into a train. My hand falls down to my side. Why was life so unfair? Why did I have to be a Tempest? I start to sob, walking over to my bed and burying my face in a pillow to muffle myself. I want to love Zero. I really do. But I know that the more he falls for me, the more it's going to hurt when he realizes who I am. "Miss Lily, Astrid would like to come in." Pandora's voice comes in through the speaker. "Why?"

"I told her you were crying."

"Oh, ok. She can come in." The door swings open, and Astrid walks in, shutting the door behind her back. She sits down next to me and says one word. "Spill." So I do. Telling her how much I knew I liked Zero, and I wanted to be by his side. Telling her the heartbreak I feel realizing that I would only hurt him if I stayed. "What is your heart telling you?"

"Astrid, I need to follow my head on this one."

"Someone wise once told me that sometimes, most common in love, you need to use your heart over your mind."

"That's just going to hurt him." Astrid is quiet for a moment. Then Pandora speaks. "Miss Lily, Walker Zero has requested you to join him outside the base."

"Outside the base? Why?"

"Funny story actually, and I don't quite understand it myself."

Zero's POV

Music

"Sir?"

"Yes Pandora?"

"There are unidentified flying objects in the air."

"Aliens?"

"It seems to be an Alicorn, with two girls riding it, and a larger than life hawk holding a screaming child that seems to have rainbow hair."

"What? Pull up cams." Pandora shows me the footage. I freeze. "Pandora, get Lily to join me outside the base."

"Do you know these people?"
