Lily's POV
You know how in most books, the heroine wakes up alone? How she feels the cold side of the bed? Every story I've read, I believed that when I finally found someone, that he would let me wake up alone. Alone like I had every morning. But no. When I open my eyes (after an hour of actually being awake but not wanting to get out of bed), Alan is still holding me close. "Good morning." I murmur, inhaling his familiar scent. "Good morning min kjærlighet." He whispers, toying with my hair. "What did you call me?"
"My love."
"That's what my Mamma called me."
"Would you like me to call you something else?"
"No. It reminds me of her."
"Mmm." Alan seems to be exhausted, his eyes fluttering every few seconds. "Do you need a few more hours of sleep?"
"I would love to, but we need to see Astrid about your Ibad eyes."
"Mmk."
"Go get dressed."
"I'm staying in this." Alan rolls his eyes. I get out of bed and grab the hoodie Alan 'gave' me. "Are you ever going to give that back?"
"No." I stick out my tongue at him.
"You're a child." He pulls himself out of bed. He's also wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants. His t-shirt says 'I don't know to act my age, I've never been this age before.' I try (spoiler alert, I failed) not to laugh. He looks at me confused. I just point at his shirt. He looks down, then looks up.
"I mean, it's true."
"Who's the child now?"
"Fair."
"Now, for coffee."
"No, you are going to go see Astrid."
"After getting coffee."
"Lily..."
"Coffee."
"Why are you so stubborn."
"COFFEE."
"ALRIGHT!"
Alan folds his arms. "You go get the coffee, I need to talk to Miles."
"Be nice, ok?"
"I make no promises."
Alan's POV
After Lily goes to get coffee, I turn to Pandora.
"Pandora, tell Miles to join me on floor eight."
"Yes Walker Zero. Anything else?"
"Is there anything that I can do for you?"
"Is there a way you could program me into a Drone?"
"Small reward for all you do for us, but yes."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
"Miles has arrived."
"Crap."
I walk out into the hallway, looking toward the elevator. "Heyyyyy, am I in trouble? The week thingamajig doesn't expire until two days."
"No."
"Theeeen, why am I here?"
"Because it's the opposite. Come with me."
"Uh-oh." I take Miles to the elevator, turning my key in the keyhole to unlock the studio level. "I haven't seen your studio sense I ran off."
"Neither has anyone else."
"So my dead body won't be found?"
"I said your not in trouble."
"Not getting that vibe."
"Idiot."
"Can't help that." I roll me eyes as the doors open.
"Now, sit." I say, gesturing to a spiny chair.
"I feel like on of those bad cop movies."
"Shut up. I want to talk about that night."
"Eheheheheheh..."
"You were right. I was barely able to survive the torture of the Tempests, and I figured they were going to kill me."
"The next day actually."
"All the better. You were going to come back, but I'm assuming something happened."
"The Alicorn."
"Ok... Anyway, I'm sorry."
"You're what?"
"I'm sorry."
"Ok, um... Wow. Uhh, I don't know how to respond to that."
"I'll give you some time. You can stay here for as long as you need to."
"Speaking of which, can I take some Drone batteries with me?"
"I think we can spare a few."
"Perfect."
Dylan's POV
"Just send, and done." I wrap up my email, and close my computer down with a smirk. This was going to be fun

I come to you again with news. That little wrench that you reported missing a few weeks back, she has joined us here at the Walker base, and she has gotten into a relationship with our leader, Walker #0. Would you like me to intervene, or wait until further notice?
Sincerely,
Dylan

Make it low profile, but we need the girl back. She is a useful tool for us.
