Park Chaeyoung

"There's a party tonight," Hye-ryeoung said.

"I know."

"You're going right?"

"Nope."

"Come on! We're in college now, you aren't a minor, and it's a few days before classes start. Loosen up a bit!"

"No."

"Yes!"

"Fine."

It turns out I wouldn't be alone this time, because Hyunjin was going, and Hyunjin didn't have a girlfriend this time. It still didn't make me feel ecstatic. I felt forced.

I decided to pick out a simple black t-shirt with some black pants with flairs. Then I got a denim jacket, some makeup and jewellery. There, now Hye-ryeoung couldn't say I was being "basic".

Could she?

I walked out of my bedroom and into the main area, where I found Hye-ryeoung and Wooyoung. Thankfully they weren't kissing.

"Ready?" Hye-ryeoung asked. I nodded, and we headed out.

Don't think I wouldn't notice you and Wooyoung holding hands, Hye-ryeoung.

Instead of third wheeling, I ran ahead to where the apartment was. I waited for them to catch up before banging on the door, then walking behind the couple.

A boy with blonde hair and freckles opened the door. He smiled, introduced himself as Felix, and let us in.

I was surprised at how different this was from a high school party. Sure, there was alcohol, and dancing and kissing, but it seemed more chill. People were actually talking. I walked over to where Hyunjin was standing and tapped his shoulder. He was talking with Seungmin.

"Hey," he said, putting an arm around my shoulder.

"Hello," I said. "Hi Seungmin."

"Hey."

"Have you seen Minho?" Hyunjin asked me suddenly, taking his arm off me. I frowned.

"Why would I have seen Minho, I just got here," I muttered. Hyunjin shrugged and they went back to their conversation. They have the weirdest conversations.

"Minho's probably busy plotting something against you," Seungmin said to Hyunjin.

"What did I do?"

"You just exist and he threatens to throw you in the air fryer," Seungmin shrugged. "Maybe cause of the thing you did the other day."

"I was just helping him out-"

"Yeah but he stuffed tissues in your mouth after that so I don't think he saw it that way."

What the hell?

I scoffed and looked around.

"Is there any food here?"

"Obviously go over there and ask Felix where they are."

"I don't know Felix well enough to ask him that," I said.

"Are you serious?" Hyunjin scoffed. "Who cares? I know him, Seungmin knows him, we all know him! Just ask!"

I sighed and walked over to where Felix was drinking out of a can.

I changed my mind last minute and walked away. I need to work on my social skills. I spotted Minho in the crowd, talking to someone. A girl.

I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous, but I brushed it off and walked over to where a food table was.

"Hey, Chaeyoung right?" I turned around. Chan.

"Yeah, you're Chan I assume?"

"That's me," he smiled. "What food are you getting?"

"I was thinking the fried chicken," I said, indicating to a basket of fried chicken. Chan nodded.

"Good choice," he said as he took two pieces out, and grabbed a paper plate. I couldn't help but feel a bit awkward, only because he was the guy that had walked in on me and Minho.

"Is this your place?" I asked.

"Nope, I'm with Minho a couple of doors down," he said, passing me the chicken. "This is Felix and Jisung's place. Do you know them?"

"I've seen them around," I shrugged.

"Where are you?"

"I'm on the other side of the block with my friend, Hye-ryeoung," I replied. "Where's Changbin if he isn't with you guys?"

"Him and another friend of ours, Jeongin, are on your side," he said.

"You have a big friend group," I commented. He laughed.

"Yeah, definitely," he smiled. "Do you want a drink?"

I hesitated.

"I'm okay for now," I replied. He nodded.

"Nice meeting you, properly," Chan said.

"You too, see you," I walked away, finding somewhere to sit and eat my chicken.

Wow, this was the best chicken I'd ever tasted.

A few moments later, a tall, good looking man approached me.

"Hello," he said. "What's your name?"

"Chaeyoung."

"Well, Chaeyoung, I have created a new drink, and I was wondering if you'd like to try it?"

"What's in it?"

"Secret ingredients, obviously," he rolled his eyes and grinned, then poured me a glass.

"I don't drink."

"It's not alcohol, don't worry."

Should I trust this man?

He didn't really give me a choice. I brought the glass to my lips and took a sip.

"It's...nice," It tasted like a normal glass of champagne. "What's your name?"

"May I ask what a sexy thing like you is doing here all alone?" he totally ignored my question.

I spat out the champagne back into the glass.

"I'm sorry?" I stared at him. He smirked.

"If you are alone...I can change that," he took my hand. I could feel myself getting dizzy, and suddenly his voice was all far away.

"No.." I tried to form a sentence, but I couldn't.

The last thing I remember was his hand holding mine. He led me through the crowds, my vision was blurry, and the voices echoed a thousand times in my ears. It hurt. Inside I felt hot, and my stomach was burning. I could vomit. The music banged around in my head, causing a massive headache.

Then everything went quiet. I was in a new room. It was dark, and I couldn't make out everything that was in the room. All I knew was that I did not want to be here, and that something bad was going to happen.  I was being laid down on a bed, I tried to slap the person away, but I couldn't even move my arms.

I could feel hands on the waistband of my pants, and then cold air hit my bare legs as my pants were dragged down.

"S..stop," I could hardly speak.

Then everything went black.
