This one shot is them not dating in high school

Miles'a P.O.V:

"Miles!" A voice shouts in Miles's ear.

"Are you okay?" Alex asks, lowering his voice.

"Oh yeah. Just lost in my thoughts, you know?" Miles responds, smiling at the shorter boy weakly.

Alex and Miles were in Matt's house at a small party.

"What's on your mind?" Alex asks, leaning closer to Miles with a smile.

"Nothing..." Miles whispers, his face flushing.

         Would you just read my mind already?

Miles had been in love with Alex for a long time but he had never gathered up the courage to tell him. He doubted Alex liked him back anyway.

"Come on Miles, tell me" Alex asks eagerly, snapping Miles out of his thoughts.

"Miles I know something's on your mind. You can tell me, I want you to tell me." Alex continues, smiling even more.

Miles wanted to tell him. He wanted to tell him so bad but he also didn't want to have his heart broken.

"I can't tell you," Miles says faintly.

"You can! I swear I won't judge or leave you or do anything bad!" Alex says in a rush.

Alex was so curious now. He probably would never shut up until Miles talked to him.

"Alex I-" Miles couldn't continue the sentence.

Alex was too pretty. Too distracting, with his brown hair and beautiful chocolate brown eyes that matched.

"Come on Mi, tell me" Alex says with a quiet voice, taking Miles's hand and squeezing it.

"I LOVE YOU! That's what it is, Alex. I love you..." Miles blurts.

"Sorry, that just came out-"

Alex cuts Miles off by pressing his lips to the other boys. They stood there for a second, forgetting everything but the person in front of them.

"I love you too" Alex whispers, pulling away.

Miles lets a grin spread on his face. The two boys kiss once more.
