armani's always thought it was weird that he never met his real mother.
when he was twelve, all his dad told him was that he'd fallen in love with her while in a marriage with another woman.
shaken up by this information, he ran until his legs couldn't carry him anymore - collapsing on the porch of a small bakery in an even smaller town.
an old man named wal paondond took him under his wing, offering him a job and a place to stay at the bakery. armani's life is finally peaceful for a nice seven years, except the occasional weird customer who will hiss at him or act incredibly strangely. wal's always told him to call him if that happens though and he'll take care of it.
but for some reason, when a curly-haired boy runs into the bakery with his jaw almost on the floor- which mani definitely counts as weird- he doesn't call wal. upon seeing him, the boy runs straight up to him and exclaims,
