THE FIRST ONE TO GAIN CONSCIOUSNESS WAS JULES. It was roughly eight AM, it was no longer raining, and the sun was shyly approaching from behind the clouds that were left. The blonde tried to get used to the light by blinking, expecting to find the solitude of her room making fun of her.

What a surprise it was when she found Lynn Loud instead.

She was facing her side profile, the girl was deeply asleep. Her mind replayed the latest events, and although there had been plenty of them worth of capturing her attention, only one of them echoed: they had fallen asleep on the same bed.

It was the first thing that had her heartbeat racing.

Then, she became awfully aware of how close they were, because she could spot the crease of Lynn's dimple and count all her lashes. That was thing number two.

Thing number three was noticing the fabric touching her skin was unfamiliar, then smelling Lynn's scent on it and recognizing her team's uniform.

Jules allowed herself to freak out for a second before paying attention to the sleeping girl by her side again. Her eyes carefully traced Lynn's features: starting from her sharp jawline, moving to her perfectly arched nose, the sleep had turned her cheeks puffier, and her lips were slightly swollen. She watched as her chest moved up and down in constant rhythm. Lynn looked so serene, so peaceful, it somehow helped Jules to breath normally again.

There was something alluring about Lynn, perhaps it had to do with her sudden fondness. Maybe because they were physically close, maybe because she could count all her beauty marks, maybe because she could notice stuff she hadn't before, but Jules was intrigued about this different light she was under.

For someone as hyper as Lynn, not getting up strictly after waking up was like a death sentence. She had ten siblings, everything was a competition, and the early bird always caught the worm therefore staying in bed was useless... but last night there had been a storm, sunrays had yet to pierce the clouds, and her bed was so comfortably warm and welcoming that being sentenced didn't sound so bad.
