On this somber Friday, we recallThe sacrifice made for one and all
A love so pure, a gift so grandA son of God who took a stand
Upon the cross, he bore our sinTo grant us freedom, to let us in
To everlasting grace and lightTo guide us through the darkest night
Though tears may fall, and hearts may acheWe know that from death, he will awake
For on this Good Friday, we proclaimThat is his name, we are saved from shame
So let us bow our heads in prayerAnd thank our Savior for his careOn this day, we are reminded trueOf the love that forever shines through.
