In The Infirmary
Y/N's POV
As I laid in the infirmary bed, my body was slightly aching from the events of the previous night. As I lay in the quiet of the infirmary, surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight and the gentle hum of magical healing potions. I really hate being in here.. I drifted in and out of consciousness, as I had nothing better to do. My thoughts drifting to my friends and classmates. I wondered if anyone would come to visit me, to check on my well-being and offer words of comfort. I know its only been a day with the guys but- who am I kidding, I doubt I wouldve showed up after being friends with someone for just a day.. Despite the pain coursing through my ribs, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness, a longing for the familiar faces of those I held dear. Man its really.. lonely here huh? Suddenly, the door to the infirmary creaked open, my heart skipping as I saw my friends enter one by one. Crabbe and Goyle, were the first to arrive, their gruff voices filled with concern as they approached my bedside. "Y/n, are you alright? We heard you were attacked outside the school." Crabbe asked, his usually stoic expression softened with worry. "We heard what happened," Goyle added, his voice low and rumbling. "We came as soon as we could." I managed a weak smile, touched by their unexpected display of concern. I said, "Im just glad you guys came- truthfully I didnt think anyone would show.." They both smiled sitting at the end of the bed, starting to talk. Despite their rough exterior, Crabbe and Goyle had proven to be loyal friends in this time of need, standing by my side. It brought comfort to know that these two guys care and were here to show it. As Crabbe and Goyle left to attend their next class, my heart sank slightly feeling the weight of my solitude once more. But just as I began to resign myself to the quiet of the infirmary, the door opened once again, and a familiar voice filled the room. "Y/n? What happened?! Are you alright?" Malfoy's voice echoed through the infirmary, his silver eyes filled with genuine concern as he hurried to my side. Draco... I smiled as my heart was racing at the sight of him. Relief flooding through me at the sight of his familiar face. Despite our differences and occasional disagreements, Draco had always been there for me, a constant source of support and understanding. "I'm fine, Draco," I replied, managing a small smile despite the pain throbbing through her body. "Just a bit banged up, that's all." Draco's expression softened, hearing his actual name come out of my mouth, he reached out to grasp my hand gently. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner," he said, his voice tinged with regret. "I didn't know where you were until now." I squeezed Draco's hand reassuringly, grateful for his presence in her moment of need. "Im really happy that you came." As we sat together in the quiet of the infirmary, I couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over me, knowing that Draco was there by my side. I told Draco, "You know- im really glad you could make time to come in and check on me.. I know you were saying how your family keeps you busy and-" He squeezed my hand reassuring me saying, "I would've came here regardless. Busy or not- I want to be here. Making sure your okay." I leaned my head onto him as he sat next to me in the bed. Little did I know I would ever find comfort in a guy that I just met. Out of breathe and still in pain- I felt comfortable, and at peace knowing that he was around.
Later
Y/N's POV
As the days wore on to a week, more visitors came to check on me. Each bringing their own brand of comfort and support. Fred and George Weasley, whom I hadn't spoken to in years, arrived with their trademark mischief and laughter, brightening the infirmary with their infectious energy. Weasley- I gulped as I clenched onto Draco. Draco looking at me confused as Fred says, "Dumbledore told us whats happened- we couldn't bare the thought of you being in here because of us." Draco sits up partly, blocking (defending) me as he says, "You two put her in here!? Youve got some-" I leaned him back slightly as I still had his hand in mine saying, "Its alright.. Its kind of a long story." Giving him a reassuring look, he gulped as he nodded. I exhaled as I felt pressure in my chest from the anxiety of what happened last night. George says, "Its alright. I understand if you dont want us near- Just know, we arent those.. 'things' that attacked you... They may have used our faces, but us- we wouldn't-" I sat up as I felt my ribs sting. I grunt as Draco helps me sit up, "Help me stand please?" I asked Draco as he helped me stand up too. Madam Pomfrey rushing to me from the other side of the Infirmary room saying, "Y/n! what are you doing- you shouldn't.." I walked over to Fred and George quickly as I opened my arms, hugging them both while I closed my eyes. Them hugging me gently back, knowing that I was in pain. I said, "Im just glad you two are okay.. and not with.. those things.." They chuckled as they said, "Same here... Next time, remember our promises- please?" I chuckled as I grunted instantly twitching back as I held my ribs with one hand. Draco rushing to my side as I lost balance he says, "You should sit." I nodded as he lead me back to the bed. I said to Fred and George saying, "Believe it or not- those things.. knew about that too. They infact used our promise to approach me.." They looked saddened, guilt along their faces. Fred says,
"Maybe you guys fancy a game of exploding snappers to cheer you up?" I couldn't help but laugh at the Weasley twins' antics, feeling a sense of warmth and nostalgia wash over me as I caught up with my old friends. Despite the years that had passed since we last spoke, Fred and George had lost none of their charm or enthusiasm, reminding me of the bonds of friendship that had once united them at Hogwarts. Draco getting to experience this moment with me, admiring from a far as he didnt care much for the brothers. The Weasleys and Malfoy than left for their next classes, As the afternoon turned to evening. Yet, another visitor arrived at my room just after they had left. I see his familiar glasses and lightning-bolt scar marking him as none other than Harry Potter himself. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of the Boy Who Lived, my curiosity piqued. Whats he doing here? I havent made myself known to him yet... I stayed quiet as he had quickly started to introduced himself. "Hi, I- Im Harry. Harry Potter." His green eyes filled with curiosity and concern. "I-I heard about what happened last night from Dumbledore.. If you dont mind, Could you possibly tell me what happened last night?" I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal to the famous Gryffindor. But as I looked into Harry's earnest gaze, I felt a sense of trust and connection that I couldn't ignore. I nodded as I patted next to me on the bed, looking at the door. He nervously nodded, closing the door. He came to the foot end of the bed sitting down as I criss-crossed my legs. I started to explain to him the first moment when during class, The fake Fred and George approached me etc. Them knowing information/secrets only me and the person would know about. The moments of fear and courage that had defined my night, leading to me being in the Infirmary. Harry listening intently, his expression filled with empathy and understanding, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unlikely friendship and bond that had brought us together in the infirmary. As the night wore on and Harry, my last visitor bid me farewell closing the door behind, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Knowing that I wasn't alone in my struggle. Despite the darkness that loomed outside the walls of Hogwarts, there was light and warmth to be found within its halls, in the form of friendship, loyalty, and the unwavering support of those who stood by her side, no matter what challenges lay ahead. Im really glad everyone is okay and safe... Ill be fine- but.... Voldemort wouldnt be if something happened to them while I was there... I looked out the window of Hogwarts, staring out the window. To than see 3 green flashes all the way out in the trees, I raised my hand to the window. I flash 3 green lights back, as it shows blue 1, I show yellow back. Yeah im okay- now stop trying to contact me inside of Hogwarts. I scoffed as I smiled turning over as I got comfortable into the bed. By tomorrow, Ill be able to finally leave this dogshit room and get what needs to be done- done. I grabbed the potion on the side table that Madam Pomfrey left earlier this morning. Even though I dont need it- It wouldnt hurt to absorb it into my power for later. I smirked as I grabbed it and drank it, I closed my eyes as I drifted off to sleep.
