Chapter 7

"Denise!" Alpha Kerrington yelled

"Deni get up! Get UP!" Jaz screamed

Deni could hear some of the commotion she just couldn't get up. She could feel the blood oozing from her neck. 

"That damned Alpha if he hurt my daughter I will rip his throat out. Where is Donovan!" Alpha Kerrington asked Ricky.

"He's gone. He left hours ago. Lets get the the pack doctor here" Ricky called Charlene the pack doctor.

While waiting for the pack doctor to arrive Deni regained consciousness, "Deni who did this to you?" Her dad asked.

"Stephan" Deni whispered in pain.

"Stephan!" her father looked at her shocked, "Why?"

"I broke up with him, please don't hurt him" Deni begged.

Charlene arrived and assessed Deni's injuries. Deni needed a few stitches to close the neck wound. The doctor told her she would probably end up with a slight scar, but nothing to visible. She was also told to use ice on the bruises that were left by Stephan's fingers on her neck. After the doctor left Deni had a conversation with her father.

"Dad" her voice scratchy and down to a whisper, "I am begging you please don't do anything to Stephan. He is so confused right now. I broke up with him. I am not saying I deserved this, but there is something wrong with him he needs help."

Her father looked at her neck in disgusted "How did he get to you"

"I let him in my window"

"You let him in your window Deni? What the hell were you thinking?"

"Daddy I'm so sorry!" She decided it was time to tell all of the truth. "Dad remember when I spent the weekend with Stephan's sister last year?"

"Yes! Please don't tell me you had sex with that boy. Is that why he is acting like this?"

Deni began to cry. She wished that was all she had to tell him. "Well Dad" she hesitated "I was pregnant with Stephan's baby"

"Deni!" Her father slapped her. Ricky was standing nearby he rushed over and pulled the Alpha outside to calm him down.

After a few minutes they both came back in. Alpha Kerrington sat in a chair across from Deni and Ricky stood by him to prevent him from hurting Deni any further. Her father looked at her angrily "Finish your story Deni"

"That weekend that I stayed at his sisters', Stephan and I went out for a run. I took a fell. The fall made me go imto labor our baby was born early and died."

"So Stephan feels he has some sort of claim on you because you had sex and had his baby. And I suppose you are still having sex with him."  

She just nodded to his questions. 

"You know he is technically right you are his. How the hell do you expect Donovan or anyone else to mate with you after all of this?" He shook his head "You have ruined you life young lady. Please go to your room I can't be around you right now. We will discuss this later."

Deni got up to go to her room she turned and looked back "I am so sorry daddy." Sadly Deni went into her room and closed the door.

The next morning Deni woke up to Jaz knocking at the door. "Hey Deni let me in"

Deni unlocked the door. Jaz opened the door and pulled Deni into a big hug. "Last night you really scared us. I talked to your dad he told me everything. I am so sorry you went through all that alone, and I am sorry about your baby"

Deni started to cry. Jaz led her to her bed and they sat together while Deni explained the whole situation to her. She explained to Jaz how she was in heat and Stephan just couldn't control himself. Neither one of them were ever taught about a wolf's heat cycles, so when it happened it just took them by surprise. They both were ashamed of how everything happened and they just didn't want to explain the situation to anyone. Jaz listened and began to cry with Deni "Oh Deni, I am so sorry neither of you should have had to go through that. " Jaz pulled Deni into another hug.

"Jaz I don't love him, he is not my mate. I really want to start seeing Donovan, but will he accept me once he knows all of this?"

"I don't know Deni. It's an Alpha pride thing. I'll be honest just the thought of another man touching you like that might turn him away. But Donovan is different he has so far handled all of this so well."

"Does he know about this" Deni pointed to her neck.

Jaz shook her head no "He would have killed Stephan by now if he knew. You need to wait to tell him this face to face so you can keep him calm"

"Will he leave me" Deni started crying.

"Deni you have to understand mates. He is showing alot of restraint to not want to mate with you. But because you haven't mated he is going to get more and more possessive of you. Now with the threat of another wolf his wolf is going to go crazy from all of this he is not going to want you out of his sight" She hugged Deni and wiped her tears away. "No matter what you have to tell him. Better sooner than later."

Jaz then got up to walk out the room "Don't worry it will work out."

The rest of the week went by without any incidences. Deni's dad told the principal at her school she had been in an accident and they allowed him to pick up her work and turn it in for her. Deni hadn't heard from Stephan since that Tuesday evening, she had hoped he was using the time to get what ever help he needed. Throughout the week Deni and Donovan started talking again. During their first conversation after her incident he noticed her voice was hoarse, she told him she was sick, hey begged her to let him come take care of her, but Deni convinced him she was fine. Finally it was Friday, Deni was excited because Donovan was coming for the weekend and would be staying in the guest room at the house. Deni had convinced her dad to let him stay there for the weekend so they could talk. She told her dad that she was going to tell Donovan about Stephan before their relationship went any further.
