Chapter 31

MEGAN POV

Married. We are married and are one union, and I'm so happy about it. Kehlani is ours; forever. As I wake up today I can't help but rub over the ring that sits nice and high on her finger.

Being that we've been here for 2 days it's time to head home; to the kids and to everyone that's been blowing our phones like crazy. With a kiss on her forehead I roll out of bed and begin to start the day.

As I look over the balcony in my robe I feel hands wrap around my waist and of course it's Jorden. With a kiss on my cheek I say good morning.

"Good morning indeed...."
"Is Lani up yet?"
"Nope still out like a light.....we put that ass to sleep" he says making me laugh

I sigh in content, grateful for how life is right now. How wonderful it is.
"What's wrong babe?"
"Nothing. It's perfect. I'm married to the two people that I love the most, have three beautiful kids. Life is amazing....so amazing"
"That it is. That it is...."

ONE YEAR LATER

"LANI!!!"
"What you need boo?" She ask coming into the living room
"Warrior; h-he doesn't like me. He still cries everytime I hold him"
"No. No he doesn't. He loves his mama"
"Look" I say as I pick up Warrior from his bouncer and he instantly starts crying

More like hollering; so Lani grabs him and of course he stops crying.

"SEE! He doesn't like me"
"He does. He loves you! He's probably mad that you can't feed him" she says chuckling
"Well you carried him of course you the milk supply and he loves you. But why with me does he cry...he don't do that to Jorden"

"I don't know Meg, just give him some time"
"He's turning a whole year old! This nigga don't like me"
"Language! And okay fine why don't you and Warrior spend the whole day together to bond"
"Bond? More like listen to him constantly cry through the entire time. Don't leave me with him"

And....she's gone. She literally left me and this baby by ourselves. Saying she's going to the store knowing damn well she ain't need a thing; but is leaving us to deal with each other.

As he sits in the bouncer he stares at me and I stare back. I tickle his stomach and not even a crack of a smile. Damn it works when Raelyn does it. Why not me?

I roll my eyes huffing cause he's just staring at me. Thinking he's probably hungry I get one of his bottles and try to put it in his mouth. But he keeps his mouth shut moving his head back and forth like he crazy.

I grab him to pick him up and he instantly starts to whine. Not trying to hear him cry I put him right back down in the bouncer. And he's still staring at me. This time mean mugging me.

"Alright lil man; I don't know why you don't like me but it's okay. At some point you will like me and we'll be the best of friends...until then get yo shit together man...I'm trying. You gotta work with me. Okay?" I say begging Warrior as he continues to look at me

But; not with a mean face this time. So I guess progress..... I turn the bouncer around and we stay sitting and just watching tv. Primarily SpongeBob cause I will not get anymore of those yo Gabba Gabba songs stuck in my head.

We stay like this till he starts to whine. Thinking he's hungry I get the bottle again but he does the same thing. Bites down on the nipple of the bottle so he can't drink it. So I put him back in his bouncer but he starts to whine again. This time I leave him
In the bouncer and give him the bottle but he shakes his head quickly moving around.

"Here lil man, take your bottle"
I say but he continues to squirm. I take a deep breath not knowing what he wants.

He starts to cry and then begins to scream,
"Oh my gosh what do you want? I'm not Mommy, Daddy, Raelyn on Nomi. I'm Mama and you don't want me little nigga so what do you want..." I say desperately covering my face frustrated

I feel little hands grab my fingers. Slowly pulling my hands away I see Warrior holding onto my pinky smiling at me...SMILING. He starts to shake my fingers babbling and I smile back.

I pick him up and toss him up and down as he giggles.
"You like me!!! You really do like me!" I shout as he giggles

I hold him close to my chest as I hear him sigh and he cuddles into me. I watch the tv and overtime look down finding Warrior cuddled into me sleep.

I hold him closer than ever as I close my eyes in comfort letting sleep take me.

I start to hear giggles and awes; which make me hold Warrior tighter to me as I open my eyes. To find everyone leaning over us with their phones out. Especially Kehlani as she smiles.

"And you said he didn't like you...yeah okay. He loves you"

"And I love him too" I say smiling as he starts to wake up grabbing onto my neck
