After about 30 minutes of playing basketball, everyone was tuckered out. Nathan decided to practice his long distance shots. The other two were too tired and thirsty to continue with him. Both Callie and Chii plopped down on the bench, letting out exhausted groans. Nathan chuckled to himself  at seeing them like that. "I wasn't built for this...!" Chii said, breathing heavily and slumped on Callie. "Skinny ass.." Nathan teased under his breath. "You skinny too, nigga! What'chu mean??" said Chii, affronted and exhausted. "I'm still taller than you, and my muscles are bigger than yours." Nathan said, flexing and smirking. Chii smiled at Nathan sarcastically, while Callie rolled her eyes and turned her head, not really minding the fact that Nathan was flexing. "I'm tired and I'm thirsty as hell..!!" said Callie in a whiny tone. She laid her head on Chii's lap and whimpered a little, and Chii patted her head gently. "Same, twin. Same."

"Y'all want some gatorade?" "Hell no! You think I'm really gon' drink after you? Ew!" said Chii, looking him up and down, grossed out. "I don't put my mouth on it." said Nathan, shrugging. "Still- ew!" "Look, y'all know my house down the street. Let's just get some drinks." said Callie. "Mom even made some iced tea!" Chii's eyes widened, intrigued. Callie chuckled at them. "You could splash a little lemonade in your tea, Chii! Maybe I'll splash some peach juice in mine..." Callie said, daydreaming fondly of the refreshing taste. "I'm good, Calz. Thanks though." "Ain't nobody ask you. You got your precious gatorade!" said Callie, playfully teasing Nathan. "Whatever.." Nathan said, rolling his eyes and scoffing. "Well what the hell we waiting for, sis?? Come on I'm 'bout to die of de-the- hydration!" said Chii, using their comedic tone. Callie laughed and sat up. "We'll be back, brah." Nathan chuckled as he watched the two run down the street. He took a deep breath and made a perfect shot, resuming his practice.

Callie and Chii went in the house and straight to the kitchen. When they got their tea, Callie poured a bit of peach juice in hers, and Chill poured lemonade in theirs. Going in her room, full of y2k deco and furniture, they sat on her beanbag chairs and sat in silence for a moment, drinking their teas. "....Is it just me, or do Nathan be looking kinda fine when he all sweaty...?" Chii stopped drinking mid sip and looked at Callie utterly dismayed. "GIRL-" "What?? I'm just sa-" "DOWN. FUCKING. BAD!!" "I WAS JUST SAYIN'!!! DAMN!!" Chii stirred their tea in shock and discomfort, squirming in their chair. "Don't you have a man anyhow?" "Of course! And you know I'm gonna pick him over Natey! But..... I'm not blind and he is good looking... like- I'm only human..." said Callie, her tone mischevious. "Oh my god, girl...." "Don't act like you haven't noticed him!" "Oh HELL no-  don't do that!!" "Bitch, if you didn't, you wouldn't even-" "I'm NOT going to EVEN let you finish that sentence, bitch- don't go there!" Chii yelled, laughing embarrassed.

"I'll tell you this though, Nathan is very good looking, so it can't be too much longer before this Ms. Liza notices him." Chii said, being playful and sassy. "I sure hope so. I think they'd be so cute together! She somehow seems like she'd match up with him perfectly." said Callie. "How do you know?" "I don't know, I can just tell." Callie said, shrugging. "Damn, you miss so much when you're homeschooled...!" Chii said, shaking their head. Callie chuckled a bit and both were quiet for a second. "Random question, did you ever tell your mom you were enby...?" Chii shook their head. "She doesn't care to hear about that stuff... bad enough I had to tell her I was gay..." Callie felt sorry for Chii, but she didn't really know what to say to them. "Oh... I'm- I'm sorry, sib..." Chii simply shrugged. "I can't exactly say she's- like- homophobic or anything, believe it or not. She has her nephews who she loves equally, but she's very partial to one of them, and he's gay as hell so...." Chii chuckled uncomfortably. Callie shifted in her chair uncomfortably. The room was quiet for a while, and  Chii couldn't handle it, so they broke the silence. "You still making that book, twin?" Callie looked at Chii and smiled a little. "I've not finished the 9th episode yet, but, you wanna see what I got so far?" "Oh my gosh- yes girl-  hurry up and show me!!"

Chii and Callie spent 10 minutes being thoroughly entertained being entertained by her book, laughing uncontrollably and screaming loudly. "Girl oh my god- I HATE this puta! Why is she still bugging him?! Didn't she cheat on him with some other dude???" "I'm saying!! Somebody gon' they ass beat soon. Watch." Callie and Chii chuckled. Just then, Callie got a message on her phone. Her mother had text her. "It's my mom." "Oh, how is Mrs. Kent by the way?" "She's good. We're gonna be going to a family picnic next weekend, so she's been out all morning getting everything ready now. She also said that.. "he" stopped by." Callie said, blushing slightly. "Tu Hombre?" Chii asked, raising a brow and smirking." "Shut up, Chii...!" she said, shoving them playfully, blushing as she did so. "Do you ever show him your chapters?" "Eh...I kinda did, once maybe. I just wanna finish it first before I show everyone you know." said Callie, shrugging. Chii noded and smiled. "I get it." The two went silent again, knowing there was an uncomfortable vibe between them. Callie attempted to speak, but Chii was trying to say something also. Callie laughed embarrassed and let Chii continue. "Um....it's a- really random question- but.....um....can we take a few selfies in the backyard...? I just love the outside-y/Comfy aesthetic.." "Uh...sure...?" said Callie, shrugging. She could sense that something was off with Chii, but she didn't want to make them uncomfortable by talking about it.

The two took a few photos and and edited them. Callie admired the pictures, but her concern was getting the better of her. She could no longer hold back her curiosity. "Ok, twin.... tell me... what's up with you..?" Callie asked, her face confused and her tone worried. "..What'chu talkin' 'bout?-" "You! This hold, vibe thing...like- tell me what's up.." "..Why would you think something was up....?" asked Chii, feigning confusion. "Chii....you HATE taking selfies... why you wanna take some now...?" Chii sighed and shook their head. "....You really wanna know...?" "Yea..." "...Well...I guess you were gonna have to hear it eventually.... we may wanna sit though..." Chii and Callie both sat down on wooden chairs. Chii held their phone close to them, tapping their feet uncomfortably. "....I'm moving....."

Callie looked at Chii in shock. "Again...?? Where y'all movin' this time???" "No, Sis.....just me....Mom's not going with me..." She shook her head, procesing what they had just told them. "...F'real...?" Chii noded. "Mhm.....down to  L.A. with my dad for a minute...." "...But....why though...?" Chii looked at Callie, smiling wryly, though their face was sad. "...I'm going to college....but I have to wait for summer break to end...." Callie's expression became more sad with every passing moment. "...We can't stay here anymore...you know how it is...I've told you before..but...I'm 18 now...I can't rely on Mom forever..." "....Why didn't you tell me, Chii...?" asked Callie, her head turned away from them. "I did though-" "No- why didn't you tell me as soon as we got in the house...? You could have told me right then-" "I was afriad you'd react like this...!" Callie looked at Chii, visibly hurt. Chii turned away, feeling guilty, fidgeting uncomfortably. "Look....we need to get back to the court so Nathan don't think we ditched him.." Chii said, standing up. "We kinda did though...." Callie said flatly. "...We'll talk about it later tonight...ok...?" said Chii, their expression concerned and their tone almost apologetic. Callie sighed deeply and shrugged. "Fine..."  They went out of the house, their hearts heavy. They both gave each other a look, agreeing that they wouldn't tell Nathan about what they had talked about. They both took deep breaths, and put on their best "happy energy" as they walked back across the street to the court.
