Once I had settled in at Taylor's, she told me that she had to leave to go get something and that if I wanted to I could come with her or stay here with Travis if I preferred. I decided to go with her since being alone with someone I had barely said hi to in a house that I'm not used to and isn't mine did not seem very appealing, even if that someone seems like a nice person. So I went with her to run whatever errand she needed.
Once we had gotten into the car and pulled out of her driveway she asked "Hey, you wanna get Starbucks on the way back?" looking at me quickly before turning back to look at the road. I nodded. "You wanna play some music? You can pick whatever you want, just connect your phone to the Bluetooth." I leaned forward and started to connect, before thinking that it might be awkward to play her music, so after I finished connecting my phone I sat for a minute trying to decide what wouldn't be awkward. In the end, I just put on a random 70's playlist and sat back in my seat.
"Where are we going?" I questioned, as we drove through the familiar settings, to an untrained eye the area all looked the same, but I had learned to distinguish it. We were driving through the main residential area of Port Townsend, I don't know why though, it's not like there's a lot of stores here if we were running errands. I wondered if we were maybe picking someone up, I'm not sure who though if we are.
"Here." She answered as we pulled up to a blue house, it looked familiar but I wasn't sure why. As she was getting out, she told me to wait in the car and that she'd be right back. After a few minutes she and Audrey, who I then remembered is technically my sister, came out of the house, Audrey carrying a small duffel, probably an overnight bag I thought. When Audrey saw me she immediately pointed at me and semi-yelled "The Frussian!" (A/N Frussian means French-Russian, it's a joke between me, my friend, and the character Audrey is based on that I'm Frussian)
"'Tis I. Hey Audrey" I semi-yelled back, waving at her. I looked at Audrey and then Taylor trying to ask if Audrey knew that she and I were sisters without actually saying it in case she didn't. "She knows, don't worry" Taylor told me. I nodded to confirm that I had heard her before turning back to my new (old?) sister. "Guess we're sisters now" I somewhat joked,"Guess so" ,she replied.
"Ok, you girls ready?" We both gave her thumbs up, "Great, we just have to pick one more person up"
I glanced at Audrey just as she looked at me, and I realized that we had had the same thought. Jackson. Our brother, who while we had met before, and were even friends with, that we didn't know was our brother until recently. I didn't know where he lived. Or if he or Audrey had made their decision on whether they were gonna move in with Taylor, or Mom, I guess. I don't know if I'll ever call her that, maybe eventually.

"Hey Travis!" We chorused as we walked into the house. It was the next day and now the weekend, and me, Audrey, and Jackson were all staying with Taylor and Travis for a few days. "Hey guys" Travis called back. We quickly ran upstairs to drop our bags in our rooms, me and Audrey shared a room and Jackson got his own, before coming back downstairs to get lunch.
When we got downstairs Taylor and Travis were finishing up sandwiches and getting drinks, they asked if we could go set the table while we waited for them to finish and they'd bring the food out in a minute or two.
Once the table was set, and we had all sat down, Taylor started to talk, "So, when I first met you individually, we played 20 question, and I told you all that I would save this 20th question for later. I would like to ask you now, you can say no, or it's ok if you haven't thought about it or haven't decided, but, my question is, would you like to come live with me?" We had all started eating at that point, but when she asked her question we all stopped. We stared at her, all of us speechless, at least for a moment.
"Yes, I would like to live with you." Taylor seemed to let out a sigh, almost as if she had been holding her breath and didn't realize. I looked between Audrey and Jackson waiting for them to answer. Hoping they'd say the same. I leaned back a bit in my seat. Audrey looked almost pensive, as if she was thinking it over, and Jackson looked like he'd already decided but was still hesitant for some reason.
"Sure, I mean, why not?" Jackson answered after a few very expectant moments. Everyone was relieved, and seemingly encouraged by Jackson's answer, Audrey also answered, "Yeah, I would like to live with you too."
"I'm glad to hear that" Taylor said. Travis, who had been quietly observing from the background, nodded. "Me too" he added.
We continued our lunch, chatting as we ate, all excited to start a new chapter in our lives. I was excited to live with Taylor, but I knew leaving behind the familiarity and routine of my current life would be hard, and it seemed the others felt the same way. I remembered that we all had school tomorrow, and I knew that we would be taking the bus to avoid security risks, but I wondered one more thing. "Can we tell our friends?" Audrey and Jackson both nodded, as if saying that they were wondering the same. Taylor looked at Travis and he shrugged, she looked back at us and replied "Sure, just don't tell anybody you don't trust"
I think that this chapter is a bit better, though please tell me what you think. I feel like thy could be longer but I'm not really sure what else to add. Anyway yeah, hope you liked it.
Thanks,
Nat
