With a heavy heart and a steely resolve, Vegas pulled out his phone and dialed Pete's number. As the line connected, he took a deep breath, preparing himself for the difficult conversation ahead.

"Pete," Vegas's voice was grave as he spoke, his words weighted with the burden of the task he had undertaken. "I need to tell you what I'm doing."

Pete's voice crackled over the line, filled with concern. "What's going on, Vegas? Are you okay?"
