Emerald's POV:
(3 years old)
I had the best toddlerhood ever. Happy with my mom and dad, but 2 years later something unforgettable happened.
(5 years old)
I'm laying in my room and I suddenly hear the door open. "Mommy? Daddy? Are you here?" Silence. "Mom!" I yell.
"Shhh kiddo!" A strange voice says and grabs my arm. "You scream you'll die!" I nod. The person picks me up and jumps out of the door, my parents never seen me again. I was taken to a random lady's home, kinda warm and welcoming in the beginning. Then became a living hell.
*3 years later*
"Here kittyyyyy!" I try to lure the cat over to me, I pick my kitten up, "Gotcha baby!" I pet the cat until my "mom" walks in and I drop her and stand up tall.
"Dishes? Room cleaned? Floors swept and mopped? My room cleaned? Living room clean? And everything else?" My so called mom asks.
"Yes ma'am!"
"Too much excitement lower your tone Emerald Jade Brenner," my "mom" commands.
"Yes ma'am."
"Good, now let me check," she says and walks into my room. She checks for dust in my room and hers, she then goes to check the dishes, she checks the floors. "Hmm I see, oh would you look at that Baby hasn't been fed."
"I-we didn't have any food left for her, I'm sorry ma'am."
"That's okay, come with me and we will get Baby some food... but first get dressed in nice clothing you can't look like a maid in public!" She commands.
"Yes ma'am," I obey and run to my room. I get dressed in a nice purple set of clothes and run back into the room. We then walk out to the car and I sit in the back seat. Once we get to the pet store I see this nice couple in the collar aisle. "Mom, can we get a collar for Baby?"
"Go for it. Don't spend too much!" She commands and I nod. I then walk over to the couple with my mom next to me and mouth, "Help me!"
