Under the moonlit sky, her steps guide her towards somewhere apart from her destination.
**POV: LUNA**
I could feel the cold breeze hit my skin as I walked into the dark alley. I know I should be careful, but I just wanted to get home as soon as possible after my long shift. Ash must've slept by now, it's 11 pm after all. She has to go to work by 7 in the morning. She's an early bird. Sure, as her roommate, that causes a few arguments here and there. But she's my only friend so I can excuse that.Pff, how I wish I, too, had a proper job. But my luck you see, I was expelled by my university due to some false bullshit. All my hard work to earn the scholarship was in vain.
But depressing over my shitty past isn't what I do. I'm working hard and hopefully, I'll be in a better state soon.
Hopefully, everything will work out. I'm working my ass off doing part-time jobs all day to save enough to continue my studies. I start to lose hope sometimes, but I can't give up now. Not after all I've been through.
As I passed the shortcut aka the alley, something unfamiliar caught my attention. A door. A big one at that.I never saw this before, and I'll have to admit I take shortcuts quite often regardless of the risk. I have always been rather inquisitive with a thirst for knowledge. My curiosity, as always, got the best of me as I headed towards the door. Stretching out my hand to touch the door, my senses were suddenly assaulted by a sharp blow to my head. Warm blood trickled down my temple, mingling with the cool night air.
The subway I ate for lunch threatened to make a reappearance. The last thing I felt was the presence of a large creature and a mumbling of: "Luna, oh dear lu-.." as the voice trailed off and I fell into a deep slumber, falling into a pair of muscular arms.
Its touch was colder than ice, but I felt at ease somehow. But the question was: Who was it?
I woke up to the thud of something falling in a dark chamber. My head was hurting like hell as I could feel the dried blood on my temple. I saw that creature now, very tall and muscular. But something about him made him look.. non-human.
"WHO ARE YOU!!??" I yelled at the top of my lungs, desperate for an answer.
"Calm down, Luna." He said like a soft murmur, almost like a lullaby to trick me into calmness, but something in his eyes felt like *danger*.
"How do you know my name?" I asked, my voice coming out sharper than intended with a hint of fear.
"Luna, I'm not here to hurt you. I just wan-"
"THAT WASN'T THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION!"
"You're a stubborn one" he replied with a chuckle as he introduced himself. "I'm Ambrose." He seemed rather friendly now, but Luna was still paranoid.
"What do you want?" she asked, as his brows knit together. She gulped hard without realization.
"I'm here to warn you, for your own very good. Beware, Luna. Follow the whispers of the moon. But you must know, those who do might not end well, for the moon has secrets to tell that could change an unknown realm. The realm I come from."
"And where the hell is that?" she asks, her curiosity bringing down her guard.
"Far away from here-"
"Stop your bullshit I don't trust you."
"Then don't. Do as you please." Ambrose said as he went outside the dark room, leaving Luna yelling for help.
