Natalia woke up at down feeling a little dissy. She knew she had dreamed, but she couldn't remember of what.
The first thing she saw the coat of the great spirit she put on the chair of her desk last evening. It seemed even more luxurious in the day light...
But having it in her bedroom made it feel... real. Everything what append took place outside her place so onece she was home she felt not realy safe but somehow out of the current madness. In her room where everything was under her control she could forget a little about the fanatics, the shamanic religion, the great spirit... She could pretend her world was still the same.
But now that she brough this strange outside world in her most private space she had definitively lost the distance she preciously kept during the last winter. She was now forced to think about it, starting with the spirit of the lake...
This man, or whatever he was, was an enigma. His personalty had many aspects, one uterly terrifing, the other almost normal, relaxed and cheerfull. It was easy to forget how dangerous and powerfull he was. His absolute rule over the very life of trilions of being and weather was not even possible to grasp with human mind. But even if at first Natalia feared him and though about him as a cruel monster which feast on human flesh, their conversation of the past day made her change her ming.
Along with his words, the hellish creature Natalia pictured in her mind slowly melted and took a new shape, the form of a benevolent ruler who works hard for the good of his subjects. His violent tendencies and the barbaric human sacrifices transformed into necessary strictness and tolls, lettting more room for human greed and cruelty in the picture.
And there was also his age... How could a living being live of more than ten thousand years ? and the fishes ! Do every seafood she ever ate could talk and methamorphose as a human ? She felt sick just thinking about it.
And he said bible was wrong... Even if she was conflicted about it she couldn't accept it being so simply disregarded. But even then... he was so old, maybe he knew better. Maybe what he meant was not that her religion was falce, but just incomplete or disformed by human mind. After all there was contradictions in christian scriptures...
She sould definitively ask him next time.
She sat up from her bed and put the coat in the closet. She would be in trouble if her mom saw it.
Than she walked to the kitchen and started to prepare breakfast, whitch would be dinner for her mother who would come home from her night guard soon. As always she turned on the TV for the morning news of Irkutsk republic. Still in pajamas, she returned to her cooking, thinking she sould buy a new jam jar to put on blinis when she eard the journalist...
