The bandage was removed from Lily's eyes but she kept them shut. She pursed her lips together, fighting back tears.

"You can open you eyes now, lil' darlin'," said a mans voice. "We aint gonna hurt you."

She only dared open one eye.

"Thats it, dont be afraid." His voice was high pitched and a bit strained, but he was talking in a gentle manor.

Lily blinked and became aware that everything around her was blurry and just wouldnt come into focus. She tried to rub her eyes but her hands were shackled behind her on the chair.

"Whats...Whats going on?" She asked. Her own voice sounded wierd, it was slurry and mumbly.

"Dont worry, las, you'll 'member everythin' soon enough." Said the man who now had a clone of him standing beside him. "Just the ol' gas hasnt worn off yet."

Well, that explained eveything. There werent really two men standing in front of her. It was the chemical playing tricks on her eyes.

"Is she awake?" There was the sound of two pairs of foot steps. Lily began to breathe quickly from fear.

"Yep. Well, I gotta scatter." And the first man left.

"Good. Michael," said the new voice," hurt her."

Another voice spoke, sounding unsure.

"What? Hey, come on man shes only-" But it was interrupted.

"Do as your told!" The second voice barked.

Lily could see Michael stepping closer to her. Her heart bet wildly and she whimpered as her legs went numb from fear.

"Well, all right then."

Mivhael looked younger that the other two men. Perhaps only two or three years older than Lily. She screamed as all of a sudden his fist slammed against her cheek. Lily's world spun and she fell to the ground, taking the chair diwn with her. She could have sworn that she heard a snap.

"Again." Said the second voice.

Michael looks at Lily moaning on the ground. But he didnt have a choice. The hard toe of his book slammed into Lily's stomach.

The breath rushed out of her and she closed her eyes tightly. Hot tears flowed over her eye lids and trickled down her cheecks. When would this end?

"You hit like a girl!" laughed the man. "Cant you do better than that?"

Michael glowered at him and lashed out again and again until Lily's body went limp.

He kneeled down and grabbed hold of her foot and twisted. Lily shrieked in seering pain and tried to kick at him. But it was no use. Her feet were tied up as well.

"Please," she cried hopelessly, "just let me go!"

"Sorry, doll. We cant do that." said Michael standing up and looking down at her.

"W-why?" Lily sobbed.

"Cos if we do, then you'll run off telling the police." Michael kicked her one last time in the face and Lily's blurred world turned into nothing but darkness.

"And we dont want that, do we?"
