"Carlos? I'm home!" Bloo yelled through the house as he closed the door behind him and hung his coat up. "Carlos?" No answer.
There was quite mumbling coming from the living room. Bloo opened the door slowly and noticed the tv playing some film on Netflix. He turned to the sofa expecting to see his beloved sat alone but he was met with two careless lovers cuddled with each other under his favourite blanket.
"Sorry. What the actual fuck is this." Bloo said trying to keep his cool. Carlos quickly jumped from the sofa ready to try explain but Bloo cut him off before he could even open his mouth.
"Save it." Bloo mumbled emotionless. He flicked the lights to reveal his best friends on his sofa, clotheless hiding under the blanket.
"Bloo I can explain-" Carlos tried to reach out for his hand but Bloo was holding back his tears and wasn't falling for it this time.
"Don't fucking touch me. Every god damn week. It's always someone new." He was breaking with every word that came out of his mouth. "And you! I thought I could trust you. But you've been going behind my back, shagging my fucking boyfriend. Just get the fuck out of my house." Tears were streaming down his face dripping to the clean floor, splashing onto his shoes and soaking into the cream carpet.
"You know what, fuck you. You weren't always like this. You don't even look like you used to. Hell you don't earn as much money as you used to. You're fucking ugly, broke and annoying." Carlos was stirring the pot to make Bloo hate him more just like he did every time. He grabbed his back and barged past him, Mackenzie trailing close behind him.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean. Just fuck off. I don't ever want to fucking see your face again. I'm not coming back this time. This is the last fucking time. No more second chances." As the door slammed in Bloo's face, he fell to the floor. Broken. Nothing else to do except rot away. The carpet was soft on his face, prickling against him as it became soggy from the salty tears. His brown hair stuck to his face making everything uncomfortable. Was there a point anymore? He hobbled his way to the kitchen to find a bottle of vodka. The fridge door slammed with a bang and the bottle opened with the pop. Drinking gave a sense of warmth and comfort like nothing else. One bottle down and the door bell rang. Who would be at the door this late? Nothing was working in Bloo's head so he left them to ring the bell over and over. The door just opened then closed.
"Hello? Is anyone home?" The voice echoed through the entire house. Strangely this voice wasn't recognisable. It echoed through the house again getting closer to the dark kitchen.
"Bloo? What are you doing on the floor? Come on get up? What's up mate?" The voice was just bouncing around the walls of his brain trying to process who actually cared about him. Someone's hands gripped his arms trying to pull him up.
"How much have you drunk? Come on sit up." Struggling, the man had helped him up onto a dining room chair. Suddenly everything was bright and Bloo could finally make a face with the voice.
"Dan? What are you doing here?" Bloo murmured, rubbing his eyes trying to adjust to the bright room.
"Never mind me what the hell happened to you?" He said sitting down.
"Carlos fucking cheated on me again. I'm sick of it. I don't understand? What did I do wrong? Am I ugly? Am I not enough for him? He's not exactly fucking perfect is he. Unless he is? I hate this. I should go. What are you doing here?" He rambled on trying to get sentences out but everything was just spewing out. The pair sat in the small dining room with the flickering light above them shielding the unusual duo from the darkness. They settled down on the sofa and cuddled close, as Dan continued listening and Bloo kept talking, the night had slipped away and it was early morning. Dan's hair fell across his face his face glowing in the soft light from the sunrise. He didn't normally look this way but Bloo liked it. His smile, his hair, his eyes. The sun had started lighting up the room with a quiet orange glow. Suddenly the conversation had ended and they were looking at each other face to face. Slowly Dan reached to Bloo's face and wiped a soft tear from the previous night and leaned closer. They stared into each others eyes. Carefully, Dan leaned in further for a kiss. Their soft lips pressed against each other, taking each other to a place they'd never thought was possible. It was like paradise on earth. Nothing could ruin this moment. Without a warning the door swung open and Carlos was stood in the doorway ready to apologise. Carlos was ready for an argument this time.
"What the fuck? You fucking cheater." Could be heard from the corner of the room. Bloo scrambled away from Dan apologising over and over, walking towards Carlos dry tears still lingering in his eyes from the previous disaster. Quickly, Carlos had lifted his arm ready to hit his previous lover. Everything almost felt in slow motion. The hand hit Bloo's damp face and pushed him to the floor. Carlos threw a ring at the floor and yelled "if you're going to go round cheating on me I guess you won't want this." The soft ding rung through the house as nobody dared say anything. Carlos turned around and left.
