The beginning of something new

Leah's pov

Today is Saturday and summer break just started. Hmmm.... What should I do today? I think I want to go for a walk today, why not. So, before I leave I wanted to eat lunch because I haven't ate since breakfast. I had oven made pizza, blue Takis, and a blue Powerade. After I ate I got ready for my walk and was ready to go. I started walking to a nearby park not far from where I live. It was a sunny cool day and I felt relaxed.

I arrived at the park and saw an ice cream truck and decided I wanted some dessert. As I was walking to the ice cream truck I suddenly felt this someone slightly shove me. I turned around to see a blond haired, blue eyed boy. He quickly apologized as he was out of breath. "Sorry there was a bee following me" he said. I chuckled and said "that's ok". "To make it up to you how bout I buy you some ice cream?"he said. Well I wasn't about to let down that offer. "Sure" I said.

Walker's pov
Today I decided to go to the park since it was nice out. When I got there this stupid bee kept following everywhere I went. I was trying my best to stay calm and wait for it to leave but it wouldn't. I got tired of it so I tried to swat it away when I accidentally bumped into this girl. She had this smooth melanin skin and glossy brown eyes. I apologized for bumping into her and she said "that's ok". I asked her if I could buy her ice cream as a sorry. She said "sure". So, we went up to the truck and she got a scoop of chocolate and strawberry and I got a scoop of double chocolate. As we walked away from the truck I asked her what her name was and she said "Leah". She said "what's your name?" I said "Walker". After that we went and sat down at a picnic table. We chopped it up for a bit. It was time for me to head back home so I told Leah it was nice to meet her and I asked her if I could have her number. She said "It was nice to meet you as well and she gave me her number" after that I headed home.

Leah's pov

Walker had just left so I decided to leave to as well. I walked home thinking about him and how we clicked so well. I hoped that I would see him again one day. I finally made it home and I was tired. So, I decided to take a nap and I fell asleep.
