"Ah please! It's going to be fun.." I groaned and looked at Tom. He never wanted to come to parties with me. All he did was play games in his room.

"Why can't we just stay here and play games?" He asked while his eyes were locked on the screen. Playing Fortnite.

"Because we do it every time.. plus it's a pool party, please Tom!" I pouted and held my hands together in a begging way.

He stopped the game and looked at me.

Was he giving in?

"no" he simply said before starting to play again. "Fine whatever, I'm going on my own then" I rolled my eyes.

"Isn't it dangerous?.." he looked at me again. So he was worried? good. "I guess.." I shrugged and opened my closet. Hoping he'd change his mind.

He rolled his eyes and took his headphones off. "Fine.. but only for one hour"

"I knew you'd give in eventually" I smirked and picked out an outfit.

Just some baggy jeans and an oversized shirt. His and mine style were actually pretty similar if I think about it.

I was drinking some juice while Tom had some Coca-Cola. "That's so lame.." he mumbled. Taking another sip.

"We could go in the pool but someone 'forgot' his swim trunks" I rolled my eyes. Noticing some girls looking at our direction.

Looking at Tom, to be more specific.

He always had this effect on girls. Since we were little. All of them always wanted to be my friends just to get closer to him.

"Look at those girls.." I whispered and looked away to not make it obvious. "I bet they're whores.." he mumbled while looking at them.

"Tom, you can't say that.." I chuckled and raised my brows at him. "Too late" he shrugged and scoffed.

"Why don't you go talk to them? And start you know, a conversation to get in touch with real life again" I suggested since he rarely talked with anyone other than me, his friends and family.

"Get in touch with real life again? You're saying it as if I'm some kind of addict to video games"

"I mean.." I gave him a look since he kinda was.

He did have other hobbies too but I think playing games was his favourite.

"I don't want to.. I always end up saying some stupid things.." he complained in a quiet voice to not be heard by others.

"Aw you get all nervous huh.." I teased and grinned at him. "You're annoying.." he pushed my face slightly.

"But you still love me" I sticked my tongue out and chuckled. Looking around to see if I spot some friends.

"Oh look! Maddy and the others!" I took Tom's wrist and pulled him with me. Walking to them.

"Hey guys!" I smiled. Maddy turned around and gasped when seeing me. She immediately went in for a hug which I obviously accepted.

She's one of my best friend's but sadly we don't see eachother so often since she moved schools. We still keep in touch everyday though.

"I wasn't expecting to see you here" I smiled and parted. "Yeah me neither.." she chuckled, "hey Tom" she smiled and waved at him in a friendly way to which he just waved back awkwardly.

"You could've text us that you're coming, we would've come all together" Adriana smiled. She was my classmate. We were really good friends as well.

"Yeah it was a last minute choice since someone didn't want to come" I looked at Tom then back at them.
