When those words rolled out of his father's mouth I felt like someone just slapped me, this can't be happening, am just overthinking.

I got out of my thoughts when I heard Adriano's voice trying to convince his father.

"Papà I think it's too early to get engaged," he says.

"Son am getting old and I need to see my grandchildren," his dad said.

"Dad don't start with that speech of yours," He said making me laugh.

"Figlio sai che tuo padre ha ragione," Halsey said stroking his cheeks.

"Mamà I know," he said taking his mother's hand off his cheeks.

"Tesoro, please convince him," Halsay said to me making me smile.

You're smiling too much and it's not even a real smile.

I came out of my thoughts when his mom called me.

"Rose, are you there," she said shaking me.

"Yes?" I said making them look at me.

"Are you okay?" she asked worried.

"Yes am great please continue," I said.

"Okay so I said that the two of you will get engaged in 3 weeks," his father said colder than before.

"Okay Padre we will take our leave," he said.

"It was a pleasure to meet you, Rose," his mom said hugging me.

"It was a pleasure to meet you too," I said.

Then we were about to leave I felt a hand on my waist I looked at adriano and he had that stupid grin on his ugly face. Maybe I went too far by calling him ugly his the opposite he was that kind of man who could bring you to your knees in minutes banging for his cum.

As we got into the car he started the engine the ride was silent none of us dared to say anything but he decided to start the conversation.

"So I know that it's awkward to say that we're getting engaged in 3 weeks but let's get" but I cut him off.

"Do you think this a fucking game?" I asked.

"Marriage it's not some kind of game, it's meant to love and cherish your partner for the rest of your life," I said pissed off.

"Do you think I want to get engaged to you? This is going to be a marriage with benefits, and don't think am going to love or cherish you". he said coldly

A part of me was hurt by his words and the other wanted to beat the shit out of him till he begs for my forgiveness.

"Don't talk to me like that not one of those whore you fuck around and I didn't ask you to love me am already in love with me" I said with all my confidence.

After that the ride became silent I looked at the city while thinking of my past, and after a long drive we arrived he parked the car and finally I entered and saw her after weeks, I ran towards her and then looked at me she smiled I engulfed her into a bear hug.

I hugged her tightly making her laugh I missed her, I missed my best friend we stayed like that then we broke the hug smiling.

"Where the fuck did you go, girl?" I asked smiling.

"I went to Australia for some business," she said.

"You should have told me I miss Aunt," I said.

"She doesn't know that I went there," she said.
