Chapter 9

                                                        Peter Parker

I am holding Wanda's hand tightly hoping and praying that she is okay. She is currently in a hospital bed right now her vital signs are stable but she is still asleep. I let go of her hand, lean back into my seat and yawn. My eyes start to close suddenly I hear a knock on the door so I get up and go see who it is. I open the door, it's Ned my old friend from school "Ned? It's nice to see you" I give him a hug "It's nice to see you too Pete" "Here let's talk outside" I quietly close the door behind me "So Ned, what brings you here?" "Oh I just wanted to check in and see how you are doing" "Well I'm doing alright but my girlfriend Wanda passed out this morning and I don't know why, the doctor is gonna come in a little bit later and do some tests on her." "I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully, she feels better soon" "Yeah, anyways enough about me what's going on with you?" "Well, I moved to Brooklyn, a few weeks ago and I'm going to a school there called Brooklyn Visions Academy.

 It's a really nice school and I've made a few friends there, there's actually one I'd like you to meet right now." Ned gestures toward a tall black kid in a hoodie who is sitting down at one of the nearby tables "Peter this is my friend Miles from Brooklyn" I reach out and shake his hand "Nice to meet you Miles" I say politely "Nice to meet you too Pete." We stop shaking and smile at each other then suddenly my spider sense goes off and we both look at each other curiously. "Anyways Pete, we have a long drive back to Brooklyn so we should probably head back." I turn and look at Ned "Yeah no worries we should definitely catch up sometime soon." We fist-bump each other and smile then I head back to Wanda's room to check on her. When suddenly the door to her room comes flying off of its hinges and the doctor gets thrown into the wall along with the door. 

"Wanda!" I yell and quickly head into the room but before I can get in I hear glass shatter and as soon as I get into the room she is gone i quickly run to the window to see if I could see where she went and I don't see her anywhere. I walk back over to the doctor "Doc, are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine," he says wincing in pain "Can we get some help over here!" I yell as a nurse quickly comes running over to me and helps the doctor. "Doc what happened in there?" "I tried giving Wanda her antibiotics" Ahhh the doctor groans as he tries to move "Doc, just relax what happened?" "when I gave her the antibiotics the body rejected them but not like u expected some sort of black substance started surrounding Wanda and then grabbed me and threw me into the door." "Black substance?" I look away for a moment remembering what the alien creature looked like then I quickly stand up "Where are you going, Peter?" the doctor asks "I'm going to find my girlfriend"
