As the dark energy from Arden's Cataclysm spread through the stone monster, it let out a deafening roar, its body starting to crack and crumble. The colorful gems embedded in its form began to shatter, sending shards flying in all directions. The team of heroes braced themselves, knowing that the monster's destruction could cause significant collateral damage. Chaos had been unleashed in that moment. But it was the man beneath it all that caused the fear. The group of heroes, now assembled, stood atop a building, surveying the chaos caused by the massive stone creature. Its rampage left destruction in its wake, and the team knew they needed to act fast. But how?
ARDEN STARED IN horror at what she had done. The man was slowly dying, and felt powerless to stop it. "Oh my God, that man is dead. He's dead!", she said in a panic.
Rhys quickly grabbed her by the shoulders, shaking her lightly. "I really need you to focus right now. This was an accident, okay? It was just an accident."
"Can your power fix it?", Kendall asked hopefully, staring at the man's body.
"I-I can't", Rhys said, shaking her head. "There is no Lucky Charm for me to toss, I- I can't fix any of this."
"Can't we just call the Lucky Charm now?", Joachim asked in confusion.
Arisu shook her head. "I don't think it works like that", she said softly.
Avril cringed, taking out her phone and handing it to the man. "Call your family and tell them you love them", she said softly. The debris from the explosion rained down around them, as if it were mocking them.
Maeve, noticing a group of civilians trapped in a nearby building, made a split-second decision. "Daizzi, I need your help!", she called out. Using her kwami's power, she created a protective barrier around the civilians, shielding them from the falling debris. The strain was immense, but Maeve held on, determined to keep everyone safe. "I thought we didn't unlock new powers until we grew up?", she called out to the rest. Because she was pretty sure that creating barriers definitely wasn't in her power database when she first spoke to Daizzi.
