(Steven's POV)
So to bring you up to speed: Stephen is my evil counterpart from another *ahem* Universe. Pretty much everything that I'm not, he is: A jerk, rude, abrasive. But the kicker is that being like that means he never had to push himself like I did with my powers. Or rather he feels like he doesn't have to since he never holds back and feels like he's already stronger than everyone.
Thankfully, he DOESN'T have the Pink form or my Buff Diamond form due to his own "better than everyone else" attitude. That's always been my one edge over him. But I guess since he's likely tired of me refusing to tell him how to achieve that form, he's resorted to kidnapping Connie and building a Multiverse army to bring here. But once again, his arrogance only makes me mad.
"I have to go after him. If he's serious, then I've gotta beat him to the punch and stop whatever he's got planned! And to think I was actually looking forward to some time to relax. Connie and I were planning a date for this weekend." I said to the Gems as Pearl out a hand on my shoulder.
"Stephen's arrogance will be his undoing. You'll save Connie and go on that date, Steven. But how are you going to stop whatever Stephen is planning? Better yet, how are you even going to find him?" She asked.
"That's easy. In his haste, that Clod left a trail and I managed to get a signal from it. I can send you where he ended up, but are you sure you want to do this on your own, Steven? Who knows what you'll find and if anything happened to you, I'd…feel horrible. It would be just like last time with Aquamarine and how you were forced to…" Peridot began to say until I hugged her, calming her down.
"I don't hold that against you. Never did and I still don't. I find a way, Peridot. And if Stephen is using the Multiverse, maybe there's a way for me to use it as well. Knowing him, he's already causing trouble, so the sooner I get to where he is, the sooner I can make a plan." I said as Peridot smiled.
"We don't deserve you, I swear. You're amazing, Steven. Alright, fine. You go save Connie and bring that Clod Stephen down a few pegs. But my question is why is he even doing this? Is he still trying to get you to tell him how to achieve those forms you can that he can't?" She asked as I nodded.
"Has to be. And he's probably tired of being told "no" so many times, so he's pulled this. So I have to go after him." I said as Peridot set up the machine and the portal reactivated. I looked at everyone.
"I'll be back. I promise." I said as I walked through the portal….
