Alex's pov
Michael and I are still silent, waiting for Max to rescue us.
Michael: You're still not gonna talk to me.
Alex: ...
Michael: Look, I'm sorry for trying to kiss you.
Alex: It wasn't even your fault. I'm just not in the mood for talking.
Michael: For a whole week.
Alex: So, if we continued that kiss, what would have you done next?
Michael: Admit my feelings.
Alex: It's a new world Michael, you can't get attached to anyone or anything anymore.
Both of us are silent once again. Michael looking shocked at what I said, his face read "It sounds cruel but I know it's the truth."
Kisha's pov
I wake up in a small cave and I'm surprisingly not dead. "Where am I?" "How did I survive?" "Did a group of gorillas take me and now I must survive the forest with my animal family?" "No, not the third one! Jesus, I've read too many Wattpad stories."
???: Hey Kisha, here's some water. Can you tell how you got into this situation.
It takes me a second to realize that the person who was talking to me was Gabriel.
Kisha: Gab!
I hug Gabriel and he hugs me back.
Kisha: You have to listen! Kai, the one who took you in is not a good guy! He imprisoned Eugene and I.
Gabriel: But why did he imprison you two and took the rest of us in.
Kisha: It's cause he's my enemy.
Gabriel: Your enemy!?! How and when?
Kisha: Even though it may seem like I'm nice and smart-
Gabriel: *in a jokingly tone* You're nice!
I gave him a disgust look which made him shut his mouth.
Kisha: He was my enemy before everything began. Don't you notice he looks familiar?
Gabriel: What? No.
Kisha: Oh my gosh! He's Janzen!
Gabriel: What! No, Janzen's in Toronto Canada.
Kisha: Nope. He told Joshua who told me that he was returning to New York, here.
Gabriel: But how is he your enemy?
Flashback
Janzen: Haha! You have a crush on Gabriel!
Kisha: Shut up! *Sobs*
Janzen: I'm gonna tell him!
Kisha: Don't!!! *Slaps Janzen and continues to fight him*

Gabriel: So you fought him just because he threatened to tell your crush that you had a crush on them?
Kisha: Yup!
Gabriel: * in a joking tone* So who is this crush
Kisha: *laughs* I can't tell you!
Back at the mall
Joshua: You two!
Alex: Joshua? Why are you in the vents?
Joshua: To save you two.
Michael: How do we get out of here?
Joshua: Follow me first.
Alex's pov
Joshua leads us into the vents and we end up in an ice cream store.
Max: Oh lord, thank God your alive.
Alex: So what's the plan?
Max: You see that truck right there?
Alex: Yeah.
Max: We're gonna go there.
Alex: How?
Max: This mall has a fire exit that can be found in the second floor employee room, we go there. The fire exit will lead us to the top of the mall.
Noralyn: Max, it's clear.
Max: Let's go.
We run to the employees room and kill a couple zombies.
Andrea: Aaa!
I kill the zombie and we make it to our destination.
Michael: We're here.
Joshua: I wonder who this body belongs to?
The body turns into a zombie causing Joshua to scream.
Joshua: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
Max: Oh shi-
I kill the zombie and looked at Joshua who seems a little embarrassed. We head to the top and let Max explain the rest.
Andrea: So now what?
Max: I grabbed this at the base.
Alex: A grappling hook?
Max: Yup, I'm just gonna shoot the truck and we use it as to go down.
Alex: That's great! Michael and I brought a bunch of dense gloves.
Max: Nice! I was just gonna tell us to use our hands, but that'll work better.
Alex: *in a concerned tone* Wouldn't that hurt?
Max grapples the truck but the hook takes a while to actually hook. All of us take turns and get to the truck successfully. Max drives the truck and the rest are in the back. Before we drive off, we hear screaming.
???: Help!
Max: Who is that? Let's help them!
Alex: Wait, isn't that Chloe's brother?
Michael: It is!
Michael and I hop off the truck to save him.
Max: Get in!
???: Thank you.
Max: Let's go back now. With these supplies, we should be good for a month.
