Alex's pov
Michael, Gabriella and I get called and I'm like "Omg, are we in trouble😏" Mark tells us that us three are gonna go on a mission to save Garroth who is lost somewhere in a neighborhood.
Alex, Gabriella and Michael go look in the neighborhood
Gabriella: So, he should be here somewhere. Shall we start looking in the houses?
Alex & Michael: ...
Gabriella: What is wrong with you two?
Alex: Nothing. Let's just look in that blue house.
Alex's pov
So we start looking in the blue house and Gabriella gets attacked but Michael saves her. Garroth isn't in it and we go to the next house. We hear a crash and it turns out a zombie was in the house and crashed through everything. Gabriella kills it but zombies from outside hear the crash so we board up the place. "Great, I'm stuck in here with both of my crushes😬."
Alex: Why don't we explore the rest of the house?
Michael: Sounds good!
The three of us discover a hidden room where it's sort of like a greenhouse but without the glass. At the corner, I see a bow and a bag with arrows.
Gabriella: We can't just stay here.
Alex: But what do we do? There's too many zombies outside.
Michael: Over there. Static tvs. If we shatter the glass, the tvs can probably make enough noise to distract the zombies. If we use the bow, we can break it.
Alex: Here.
I hand Michael the bow but no luck in hitting it. Next was Gabriella but same thing.
They give me the bow and I hit it first try. The zombies get distracted and we run for it, Michael grabs the bow and arrows and gives it to me.
Michael: This can't go to waste. Keep it.
Gabriella: Yeah, you're great at it!
Did god send me a blow kiss. Getting complimented by both of my crushes made my heart flutter! Stop, am I talking to myself?
Michael: Hello? Alex, are you listening?
Alex: What? Hi.
Michael: We're gonna go somewhere else for now.
Alex: Okay.
We head to another neighborhood and loot a house. As we loot the house, we see a truck spinning.
Kisha: Woah, that was a woozy.
Alex: Kisha?
Kisha: Oh my god! Alex.
Two more people come out the truck
Lea: Hey guys.
Gabriella hugs Lea and Shakira. We talk for a while revealing the truth to Gabriella and Michael.
Michael: I can't... believe that.
Ella: Can I come with you guys?
Lea: If you want, then yeah.
We hang out for a while, then Ella leaves with them. "Now I'm stuck with Michael! "
Michael: What do we do now?
Alex: Let's just go in one of the houses and sleep.
Michael: Can you at least try to talk to me like I'm a friend!
Alex: ... I'm sorry.
Michael: What for?
Alex: For ignoring you.
Michael: ...
Michael's pov
What Alex said seemed genuine but I couldn't think of what to say. I'm such an indiot! The two of us just stayed at the house until night and we went to sleep. In the middle of the night, I woke up and went to the balcony where I saw Alex.
Michael: Couldn't sleep too?
Alex: Yeah. Hey Michael.
Michael: What?
Alex: Do you think we're gonna survive?
Michael: Of course I do! Why wouldn't we?
Alex: It just seems hard adjusting to the new environment.
Michael: But we're gonna pull through this! With you, I know we can!
Alex's pov
What Michael said made my heart flutter. Maybe I can- no. Maybe?
Michael: You out of all people can find a way.
Alex: Hey Michael, can we-
I couldn't even complete what I was saying but somehow he knew what it was. He kissed me and I kissed back still a little hesitant about everything.
Michael: I thought you didn't have feelings for me.
Alex: Maybe I do? Maybe I've had feelings ever since we met? Or maybe not?
Michael: (in a playful tone) Stop teasing me!
We both laughed and went to bed. The next morning we looked in more houses and we found Garroth.
Michael: Garroth!
Garroth: Listen close to what I have to say. Kai isn't nice. He sent me here just because I messed up organizing food.
Alex: We already know Kai isn't bad, Kisha told us!
Garroth: What she didn't tell you is that Kai hunts random survivors and drowns them. Then he uses them as sex toys.
Alex: Eww, that's disgusting!
Garroth: Don't try and keep acting like you're clueless. Make a plan and escape!
Go!
Alex: What about you? Let's go Garroth!
Garroth: No, leave me. Kai trapped me in a room with a zombie. He sent you looking because he's gonna try framing you!
Alex: No, I can't just leave you!
Garroth: Go!
Michael holds my hands and looks at me.
Michael: We have to go. For the rest of the group.
