Nikolai's POV
It felt like i just closed my eyes for a second, in a split second i'm awake again. It has always been like this, it's an unending cycle until i graduate i guess.
I stood up and went to my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I was up all night doing my thesis, i slept at 3:40 am, no wonder i'm still sleepy. I prepared oatmeal and coffee for breakfast, while i was eating, a notification beeped from my phone.

He's my best friend, Zyden, we have been friends ever since we were little. We grew up together. I have always been there for him as a brother ever since we found out he has a kidney disease. His parents are abroad that's why i've always accompanied him on his check ups and operations.

Yuliana's POV
I was eating alone at the cafeteria. My friends are out of town that is why they aren't present for a few days. I wasn't supposed to eat lunch because i have a quiz i have to review but i haven't eaten anything since last night and i'm starving.
A guy sat down in front of me.
"Hey" His voice sounded brave but gentle.
"Hey" i greeted him back.
"Do you have any plans for the holy week?" He bit on his ham sandwich while waiting for my answer.
"I don't really know, my parents are on a 2 weeks trip for work. I'm probably staying home. How about you?" I looked at him and we made eye contact.
"Probably staying at my condo for the holy week. Or i'll accompany Zyden at his house." He look away and smiled.
"How is he?"
"He's been doing good. Regular check ups, medicines. Pero baka next month operation na niya. Hopefully it goes well." He looked at his food but didn't eat it.
"That's good. I really hope he recovers soon. He deserves to live his life to the fullest. Zyden's such a great guy." I smiled at him and patted his hand.
"Thank you, Yuli" he smiled at me with gentleness in his eyes.
"You're always welcome, Nikolai" i smiled back.
"I got to go, i still have classes. I'll see you around, Yuliana. Have a great day." He picked up his things and waved goodbye.
I also fixed my stuff and went to my locker to get my books for my next subject.

My day went well. It actually went great because i got to talk to her even for a few minutes. She is just like the sun. She lits up everyone's day. She's a total sunshine. Not only her personality, but also her charm.
I can't help but fall for her charming personality and genuine smiles.
