A few months later

"Jay you have to tell her that I'm adopting her and you need to tell Mia that your going back to work in war again she deserves to hear that from you. Will is gone and living with Natalie and her son. You know how upset she got over that even though we took her to see him then all over when they brought her back." Hailey says.

"I know but I have to go back to help the people where I'm going to work there in danger and need help." Jay says.

"I understand that but MIA NEEDS YOU!! she lost your mum then dad which made Mia look at you and Will as if she got two dads then Will left and now you're going to tell her this. Mia will be fine with me I won't allow anything to happen to her she became my sister in law/ little sister to a daughter I never had to give birth to she's beautiful, smart and innocent but you need to tell her after work she's gone to school and we need to go get to work." Hailey tells Jay.

"I know I'm sorry to put this on you." Jay says to Hailey.

Mia Halstead's PoV

"Hey (Mimi) Mia's nickname can I walk you to class?" George Adler asked me as I was about to walk in to school.

"Yeah I'd like that." I say to him then that's what they did slowly walking into school hall.

"How was your weekend?" George Adler asks me.

"Yeah good I slept over at Ella's house you know Ella Severide right?" I ask him.

"Oh yeah the brown haired girl your best friend right?" George asks me.

"Yeah. Me and Ella have been best friends forever since we were in young when our brothers both are best friends since my brothers Will is a doctor then my brother Jay is a detective and Ella's brother is a lieutenant in the fire department. So they all kind of mix in cases some times. What about you? " I tell George.

"Wow. I'm my mom is a elementary school teacher then my dad is a plumber" George answers quietly.

They got to each others lockers then stops to get their stuff ready for their day of school.

"What year does your mom teach?" Mia kiddy says after knowing George got quiet after telling me about his parents.

"Kindergarten actually." George says.

"Wow that's interesting lots of playing I guess." I said then that made George smile.

"Yeah definitely not much learning mom says to me." George says.

Jay: "Mia come him after school I've got to talk to you." Jay says.

Mia: "Ok you ok?" Mia says getting worried by the message from her brother.

Jay: ". Yeah I am dot worry it's not bad just come home don't go to Ella's today."  Jay says.

"Ok good see you later." Mia says.

Jay: "see you later." Jay replies back.

Ella's PoV

"Hey Mia." I say trying to catch up to Mia to talk.

"Want to come to mine after school?." I say.

"I'd love to but Jay wants me to come home today but maybe tomorrow." Mia says I wonder why if it's all about the boy George Adler.

After school Mia came home to see Jay and Hailey sitting in the couch.

"What's going on none of your work friends died did they?" Mia says scared.

"No Mia they are fine we need to talk to you." Jay says.

"What's wrong." Mia says.

As she says that Hailey leaves the room and goes to the kitchen leaving the two Halstead alive.

"Take a seat I've been offered a job in a police army department and they want me to work there so what I'm about to say is I won't see you for awhile." Jay says which made Mia cry hugging her big brother.

"How Wills already gone now your leaving me and Hailey you just married her a little while if you die what's to happen to me?" Mai says shouting with tears falling out her eyes.

"You can call me and you can visit will and Natalie but this is important." Jay says.

"You use to say I was improved at but obviously not now." Mia says

Jay walks over to her just as Hailey comes out back in to the room to give Mia some water when Jay gets lower Mia goes away and instantly hugs Hailey.

"Your not gonna leave me are you?" Mia asks and Hailey says "no."
