chapter 8, friends again ﹂12:05pm, townsed high
𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐇𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕
we were in the cafeteria and it was so loud. like a bunch of animals fighting with each other. "hey adrien whats up?" I said to him. "hey aaliyah, nothing much. how was your night?" "it was ok, how about you?" I asked him. "meh, it was fine. i was just thinking about how fun out weekend was." he voiced out to him.
"hey guys! what're you talking about?" carmen wondered. "nothing really, just about the weekend. i actually was so sad after I got home." I added. on the weekend we went to our local park to hang out. we also went to a restaurant.
"wasn't it! and I was so sad too." she spoke in a sad voice. "I realized out writing project was due tomorrow and I haven't even started. what about you liyah?"
"wanna hear what I have so far?" "as a teenager in today's society..." I said with a smile on my face.
"that's it..? what even is your project on? ours is about this weird book." adrien implied. "ours is on being judging books by their covers. i did mine on how people see us in today's age." "mrs. topp wanted to 'see my perspective on that topic' because my 'grades are excelling'." I boasted.
language has always been my best subject. I've always found it so interesting and you can just be so creative. when I get an idea I just write and write and write till I cant anymore. secretly I have like, a million google docs filled with stories.
anyways that's enough of me boasting.
"but you are amazing at-" the bell cut off carmen. it always makes my eardrums burst. it sounds like a mix of a fire alarm and my mom when she yells.
"come on liyah get up lets go." adrien pulls me up as he says that. another 3 periods then I'm done. thank the lord.
after that long, hard day of school I thought nothing was going to go wrong. but, when you live a day in my life that'll never happen.
"hey bitch why the fuck are you talking with my man?" this random girl screamed at me. "who the fuck is your man? and who are you?" I mocked her. seriously though I have no clue who she is.
"oh you know me. Im sara, allys best friend. first ou mess with her, now your messing with me and my man? nuh uh" she tried to slap me but I dodged it. of course shes friends with ally. around here everyone knows her.
"ok I didn't do anything to her she was the one who messed me up. and who is your man?" I asked her, again.
"my man is adrien. i know you guys dated before by the way, but back off bitch." she shoves me again. what the flip did i do?
before i could defend myself adrien comes along. "woah girls, what's going on?" i got the ick from him saying that even though i don't like him.
she softens up and says "oh my gosh baby this girl is being so mean. she just came up to me and told me to back off from you." she gave me a baby eye look and he hugged her.
i stood there with my jaw to the floor. "adrien she was the one who was being rude to me. look mia was recording!" i showed him to mia.
"oops! that was of my face..." she mumbled. i was furious but couldn't blame her.
"well whatever. i swear i didn't do anything she was shoving me." i declared. mia backed me up thank the lord but the other girl rolled her eyes, whispered something to adrien, and walked away.
he's pissed at me. but i don't even care. when we were together he'd always lie to me, especially when his girl best friend was around.
she'd always make me feel like she was his girlfriend, not me.
i guess how i can kind of see why sara would want me to back off. i found that weird when i dated him.
shit. i realized the time and it was 3:05! i was late for my audition. this was super important too. i was running so much but then this car pulled up on the side next to me.
they rolled down their window. he recognized me from the previous audition and asked if i wanted a ride. why didn't i see before he was kinda...
