JULY FOURTH 1985

BOOM!!

I turn around to see blue and pink fireworks exploding in the air. i almost forgot it was the fourth of July.

he's still behind me.
i have to keep running.

i start running to the tree line behind the restaurant.

Fireworks keep shooting into the sky, an eerie effect now settling into its place. i can feel it.
my body is sore, but i can't stop. i have to keep going.
but i cant.
i'm too tired
i turn and make sure he's not there
i stop.
my hands hit my knees and my heart is beating fast.

"I know you're scared of him."

i turn and look around in shock

"w-who's there!?" i yell

i turn around to see a little girl. she looks fucking terrifying.

"you have to keep running Fritz."

"W-what!? how do you know my name?"

she doesnt respond, she just stares at me.

"you need to run"

i look at the girl who's eyes are dark with a very creepy look in them.

"w-who are you?" i manage to stutter out

"that's not important" she says

i notice her eyes are changing..

"your eyes.. they're-"

"changing? i know"

"why?"

"someone is moving in. or maybe out, i'm not sure."

"what are you talking about?"

her eyes shift from a dark blue to a shade of lighter yellow. she's looking right through me

as if something is behind me

"Watch out!" she disappears as she says it and i turn around to see him right there, about to hit me with the blade.

i shriek in terror as i try to run from his grasp.

he's not touching me, but i know i can't get away

"your trapped"

i feel him grab my shirt and pull me

i feel the cold metal touch my neck

he whispers in my ear

"you can't get away fritz"

the blood streams down my neck and onto my white shirt

it's soaked

in blood

dark red

oozing out of me

he cuts deeper in

i see a red firework explode above me

and i'm gone.
