Long ago, when the world was young and full of promise, my people embarked on a voyage across the sea, seeking liberation from the tyranny of the "empire." Upon discovering refuge on a distant island, we forged a profound bond with the ocean, earning the favor of the water goddess. In exchange for our reverence, she bestowed upon us extraordinary gifts, easing our existence on the island. On an ordinary day bathed in sunlight, as I strolled along the shore collecting flowers, an unfamiliar scent tinged the air. Glancing skyward, I beheld a pall of smoke and ash, signaling the eruption of the island's volcano. In the ensuing chaos, I scrambled to warn my fellow villagers, but panic and destruction swept through our midst like wildfire.Amidst the turmoil, I raced towards the safety of the docks, guided by my father's urgent call. With a leap of desperation, I aimed for the sanctuary of our departing boat, yet fate intervened as a falling ember struck me down, plunging me into the ocean's embrace.
