Who's Hungry

Liliana's pov

As I close the back seat car door a girl walks up to me clutching her neck

''please help me I'm so hungry'' she pleads I look at her confused and I see the bite marks on her neck just as I was getting ready to beat the shit out of her, she puts her hands up to surrender.

I think about letting her in the car. I'm worried about the young girl and if I'm putting her in danger. I stand there for a while, and she begs again ''Please help me.'' sadly I have a heart and am not a total piece of shit, so I help her out.

I grumble ''just get in.'' I walk to the driver's seat of my car and hop in. I start the car and drive away from the parking lot. After a while, I look back to see how Elise is doing. she's sleeping so I begin my interrogation of this mystery girl.

''What's your name?''

she glances at me and says ''Valentina.''

''so, what happened to you.'' I gesture to the bite on her neck.

''Honestly, I can't remember the exact details, but I was chilling in my car and randomly I got pulled out by some person she then ran away screaming the 'end was near' that's when I noticed the creatures flying and then I got a bit.''

''Why didn't they kill you?''

''I'm not sure I just feel so hungry.''

''it's normal, it will go away when you drink some blood.''

''is that what you're doing with her.'' mentioning the girl I took in slumped in the back.

''no don't even think about it either'' I retort giving her a glare.

''who is she anyway?''

''not sure but she trusted me to take care of her and that's what I'm gonna do.''

''what's your name?''

I ignore her I don't feel like talking anymore.

she takes the sign and relaxes into her seat. I continue the drive I'm not sure where were going but Ima finds somewhere safe, I check to see how much gas I have.

Fuck... it's almost empty

time skip

I pull up to the gas station noticing it looks empty the girls wake up.

''Where are we.'' the young girl in the back seat asks.

''just gonna get some gas.'' I hear a stomach rumble ''you hungry?''

she nods and I debate if I should leave her here with Valentina. I decide to take them both with me inside the building making sure to keep the younger one close. I tell her to grab snacks and me and I make the new vampire keep an eye on her.

''hello, I would like fifty on pump four.'' he ignores me ''hello sir.''

''No, I don't serve people like you.''

''Excuse me what does that mean.''

''it means I don't serve blacks.'' he gives me a dirty look and I give him a scowl.

I was gonna argue with him until I hear my stomach growl. I jump over the counter in a flash not thinking about consequences making my teeth protrude. I grab him by the shoulder one hand on his mouth to keep him quiet.

I sink my teeth into his neck almost draining him until Valentina walks up to me she places her hand on my back her mouth drooling from how hungry she was. I offer some to her and she wastes no second to drain the rest of the blood from him. I push her hair from her face and take notice of how attractive she is that's when I realize ''the girl.'' I mutter.

I run outside looking for her everywhere. I run back inside to tell Valentina and then I hear sniffling me and the other vampire look at each other and I signal her to stay quiet. I walk to the corner to find the girl crying covering her mouth in a crouched position.

Her eyes widen and she screams I shush her ''it's okay calm down its just me.''

''no stay away your apart of the bad things outside!''

''no no I swear I'm different.'' I crouch down to reach her eye level.

''Then what did u do to that guy.''

''well, he was a bad guy he doesn't like people who look like me and I was so hungry I need to get energy to protect you.''

I'm guessing she understands a bit and I go to grab her hand, but she flinches. I try not to let her see the look of hurt on my face and we start to walk back to the car. she doesn't let me hold her hand, but she stays close.

I see Valentina pump the gas and I thank her.

''so how did the talk go?''

''it was okay, I guess.''

''she will come around she just needs to process.'' she hooks the pump back up ''I mean she is still little after all.'' I nod my head and we get in the car. I start to drive I make sure the girl has her snacks.

''so, what is your name?'' Valentina says while turning her body to face the little girl.

she waits to look at me for conformation and I nod ''Elise.''

''wow that is such a pretty name do you wanna know mine.''

she nods her head ''mhmm''

''Valentina''

''what is your name'' Elise directs the question at me.

I look at the rear-view mirror and a smile tugs my lips ''Liliana.''

''so now that we know everyone's name let's play some games.'' V directs the convo 

Elise eyes widen in excitement, and I focus back on the road. The rest of the ride I hear them playing games together after a while it goes silent, and I see them sleeping looking peaceful. It is dark outside and although I am tired, I can't go to sleep yet.
