Juan and May's battle was well underway as audiences were captivated by the masterful techniques of the naturally talented performers and their Pokémon. The show was worth every penny.

"Blaziken, Mega Kick!" May extended her arm forward with zeal. She wouldn't permit Juan's Milotic to get an edge on them.

Blaziken's superior speed prevented Milotic from building up a Hydro Pump. In the blink of an eye, the Fighting-type kicked the Tender Pokémon's face with full force. The kick's power sent Milotic crashing against the floor while squealing in pain.

"Milotic!" Juan gasped, then clenched his teeth. She's come a long way since first stepping into Pokémon Coordinating. I hate to admit I'm losing, but I'm having fun, the older gentleman gave a low chuckle.

Before Juan and Milotic could pull themselves together, May closed in. "Use Flamethrower!"

"Milotic, Hydro Pump!" the Gym Leader shouted with urgency.

Blaziken built up the fire and blasted the fiery move with great speed, "Ken!" the Blaze Pokémon shouted as the fire targeted Milotic.

"Miiiiiiii!" Fortunately for Juan, Milotic's Hydro Pump was unleashed in time to put out the Fire-type attack. However, the collision formed a dense cloud of vapor.

May smirked when she saw another opportunity. "Blaziken, attack with Focus Blast!"

"Dodge!" Juan's Milotic sensed the energy vibrations of the Focus Blast moving toward her. The Water-type slithered out of harm's way in time.

May raised an eyebrow, "Didn't expect that."

Juan crossed his arms, maintaining a confident demeanor. "This old coordinator still has some tricks up his sleeve, ya know," the Water-type trainer teased.

May's smile turned confident, "I have no doubt about that, but I'm the new guard, Juan!" The brunette formed a fist and punched forward, "Brave Bird!" May and Blaziken were quick on their feet, but it would not deter Juan or Milotic. The Hoenn Gym Leader ordered another Hydro Pump, but the attack only fired through the mist.

"Impossible, it can't just vanish," Juan's eyes widened. The audience was as confused as he was. Without warning, Blaziken pounced out from the right side of the mist with blue energy surrounding it, and the Fire-type charged at Milotic with phenomenal speed. Blaziken dashed so intensely and rapidly that it produced afterimages. The blue energy enveloping him took the shape of what resembled an eagle.

"Unbelievable!" Juan stood frozen in his awe.

May lasered her eyes on Milotic, "It's over."

"Blaz!" Blaziken bashed Milotic and sent her flying against the wall. The beautiful water serpent dropped to the ground with swirled eyes.

"Milotic is no longer able to battle. Therefore, our victors are May and Blaziken!" the host declared happily.

The crowd erupted into a joyful frenzy. Blaziken turned its eyes to May, and the brunette gave him a thumbs up with a sweet smile, "Awesome job, Blaziken.

"Ken," Blaziken nodded proudly. He would never let his trainer down.

Juan approached May with a satisfied expression. "Well done, May. It was an honor to share this battle with you."

"Likewise," May bowed respectfully. No matter how skilled May had gotten, she valued praise from the generation of coordinators that came before her.

Juan contently nodded, "Until next time." The older trainer excused himself, leaving the young girl to deal with the aftermath of her victory.
