Five Years Later
How the time flies. Ginny couldn't believe she was back in Monaco. She'd been away for longer than expected. All because of a hot-head driver.
Pie Face.
It was all his fault she hadn't been to the beautiful state in ages.
Pierre Gasly was the man to blame...
Because he'd asked her to move in with him. He'd asked her to stay by his side. And she said yes.
Of course, that wasn't right away.
After Pierre and Ginny became an official couple, they made the hard decision to do long distance. Pierre had to travel for all his races and Ginny had a contract with her school. She needed to fulfill her duties. He needed to keep his head in the game.
They got to have their lovey-dovey, passion-filled romance for the rest of the 2023 summer, until Ginny went back to New York and Pierre continued with his schedule. She had a blast traveling with him to different countries and she enjoyed seeing new sights and cultures. Pierre loved having someone in the garage to race for. His étoile.
It wasn't until last year that Pierre got down on one knee.
Because he tripped, walking over a beat-up curb in New York City when he came to visit- that he finally asked Ginny to move in with him.
He told her there was no pressure, but he'd done some research and found out she could still teach in Milan, helping kids learn English. The job would supply Italian lessons, which Pierre insisted even though Charles had offered when he had mentioned it to him, and while she taught, she'd be able to attain her teaching license specifically for Italy standards.
It was perfect. Ginny was ecstatic and said yes. Other people around them thought he had proposed, so they all clapped. Pierre, being the smug guy he is, swept her into a Notebook worthy kiss and yelled, 'She said yes!' And that was why she'd been away from Monaco for a while.
Marriage. Such a beautiful thing. And such a drag.
In the sense that marriage meant weddings, and weddings meant, time and effort.
That was something Chloe Leclerc and Henry Cavill did not have most days. Chloe and Henry were so happy after Pascale was on board for their marriage. But, they both agreed they needed to wait before having a wedding because of the baby girl growing in Chloe's stomach.
They agreed to have the wedding after Manon Isla Cavill was born.
And they did... except then there were a lot of sleepless nights, potty training, pre-school... and they still hadn't gotten married. Then, Chloe found out she was pregnant again with a boy. So they really didn't have the time and effort.
Théo Edward Cavill was born two years after Manon.
Ginny was informed she couldn't be a Godmother to both of Chloe's kids, but Pierre was named Godfather of Théo, so that basically was adjacent.
Over the past summer, Chloe sent out invitations to a wedding. Their wedding. Chloe and Henry's wedding.
Ginny called her up instantly and screamed for about a minute straight, because it was about damn time.
Chloe reminded her that she was maid of honor and Pierre was best man. Manon would be the flower girl. Charles and Arthur would help little Théo with the rings, and Lorenzo would walk down the aisle with Chloe in honor of their father. The wedding was going to be in May and in Monaco. All of Chloe and Henry's friends would be there, along with family. Including Ginny's brother and sister and mother.
