Volume 2 Chapter 2

Ryusei POV

The class was proceeding normally like other days until chabashira-sensei decided to announce something.

Chabashira: I have an announcement for all of you today. There was a little problem the other day. He there, Sudou, and some students from class C were involved in an incident. To tell the truth, it was a fight.

The classroom became noisy.

Depending on the details of the disagreement between the two groups, Sudou may be suspended and class points may be deducted. Sensei told the entire situation to the class.

Chabashira-sensei was so disinterested and had absolutely no expression on her face that she had a certain beauty about it. Without any bias, she explained the school's neutral stance on the entire matter.

Hirata: Uh why wasn't the matter resolved?

Hirata asked a reasonable question.

Chabashira: The complaint was raised by Class C. They said it was a one-sided fight. However, when we asked Sudou, he said that their claim was not true. He said the students in class C were calling him, looking for a fight.

Sudou: I wasn't wrong; it was self-defense.

Declaring that without any shame, Sudou attracted the cold gazes of his classmates.

Chabashira: But you have no proof. I am wrong?

Sudou: Evidence? I don't have anything like that.

Chabashira: In other words, we still don't know the truth. Therefore, the situation was put on hold. The outcome will be decided as to who is to blame.

Sudou: I don't know anything except that I'm innocent. I want money for my problems.

Chabashira: He says so himself, but as of now, there's not much credibility. If, as Sudou says, there is an eyewitness, the situation could change. If there are witnesses to the fight, please raise your hands.

Chabashira-sensei continued speaking with an indifferent voice. No students raised their hands.

Chabashira: It's a shame Sudou, but it seems no one here was a witness.

Sudou: it seems so.

When Chabashira-sensei looked at Sudou with doubtful eyes, he looked at her desk.

Chabashira: In order to look for a witness, each teacher is informing his class about the situation.

Sudou: Hah! Did you tell everyone!?

I had a suspicion that Chabashira-sensei would talk about Sudou's fight to the class, after all the punishment won't just affect Sudou but the whole class, But I didn't expect that the other teachers would talk about it to the other classes. However it may be good if you know someone from another class may have seen or know something that no one knows so far.

Sudou: Damn...!

Sudo's plan to try and keep this just between us failed.

Chabashira: Anyway, that's all. We will probably have a final decision next Tuesday, taking into account the presence or absence of evidence. Class is over now.

Chabashira-sensei left the room, with Sudou quickly leaving soon after. He probably knew he would get mad at someone if he stayed in the room.

Ike: Hey, isn't Sudou the worst?

The first to speak was Ike.

Ryusei: "Weren't you his friend?"

Ike: If we lost points because of Sudou, doesn't that mean we will have 0 points again?
