Piccolo, Goku, and Gohan were gonna go off training today. I often joined but today I was taking a rest day from fighting. I had other things I wanted to do.
I still wake up at the crack of dawn tho. Sleeping with the restoring effect of being connected to the Earth is hands down the best sleep. Not like I slept that well before but whatever. Point is I wake up ridiculously early.
I stretched as I padded quietly into the kitchen. I grabbed a couple glasses and poured myself some tea and Piccolo some water. He came out as I turned around to bring it to him. I handed the water to him, which he began to drink.
"Good morning," I quietly said. I was feeling kinda lovey so I asked, "Can I have a hug?"
He stopped drinking, set his cup down, and opened his arms. I smiled and floated up to wrap my arms around his neck. I sigh happily as he returns the hug. After a few moments I reluctantly let go of him. But I went back to my tea instead and he finished his water.
"Why do you ask," inquired Piccolo.
I turned to face him, "What do you mean?"
"Chi-Chi doesn't ask Goku for hugs, she just does it."
"Oh, well I know you don't really like physical touch and I honestly can be clingy. So I ask. Would you rather I not?"
"It doesn't bother you?"
"Should it? If you don't want something then I'd rather know beforehand."
He put his glass in the dishwasher and stood next to me. A thoughtful look was on his face.
"You don't need to think so hard about it. If it doesn't bother you until you start comparing, then it's *probably* okay. Again, I love you so I'd rather know if you don't want to be touched before I do it."
His face flushed purple, "I'm trying to figure out if I actually don't like the idea of you being clingy."
My eyebrows raised in surprised as let out a little, "oh". I could feel the blush form on my cheeks.
"How about this? You can be clingy as long as the others aren't around. When other people are around I want you to ask."
"You don't mind me being clingy?"
"Should I?"
"Well, I thought you would. But I won't complain, I like the compromise. I'm sure it's obvious, but I don't need you to ask at all."
He smiled in response and ruffled my hair, before sitting down to watch me prepare my breakfast. Even when I'm not planning on being with him that day he has taken on the habit of spending this morning time with me. It's not until I'm either finished or almost finished that he will leave to do his own thing.
I waved as he left to get Goku and Gohan, letting him know that I'll be there to bring the saiyans their lunch from Chi-Chi. He nodded and off he went.
The day really started with cleaning the house, which thankfully doesn't take long because we keep it clean. Piccolo isn't fond of just stuff being around. Also, my ability to manipulate ki to move things allows me to clean up every room at the same time.
The rest of the morning was spent in my garden. I have a specific spot that I sit and "meditate". What's actually happening is I'm taking care of the plants through the earth. I can manipulate the water and nutrients in the ground to bring them to where they are needed. This means the garden grows incredibly well, and I harvest too much that I can't eat, so Chi-Chi gets the rest. She needs as much help as possible feeding those saiyans.
