To be a Demon or Hero

Epilogue Reborn

For many a millennia the hero and the demon lord fought against one another. No side ever showed any signs of winning. They would just kill one another and be reborn to restart the cycle anew. Being in a stale mate for many a millennia, the demon lord grew unfathomably bored with the war that has been ongoing for many a millennia. The demon lord decided to flip the scales off the war by straying to a different path. As the demon lord engaged in the battle with the hero both had been pushing the other into a corner. As a last ditch effort both use their strongest abilities against one another.

Demon lord: " This war grow tiresome hero. After this battle I shall bring upon an new era for all to bask in its glory. Obey me world. "

Hero: " No matter what I will not falter and end your tyranny by killing you right here and now. When you come back I'll kill you again and again. For the glory of Crownsguard. "

At that moment their battle could be felt throughout the fabric off time. Once their attacks clashed with one another a light appeared. When the light faded nothing remained of the hero nor the demon lord. Every one that was still alive looked at one another in such shock that they fell to the ground. Their strength has been depleted from their bodies. Eventually everyone passed out and came back to their senses in their homeland where they grew up after some time had passed. No matter how much they looked the hero nor the demon lord could be found anywhere. Their very presence could not be felt throughout the world either. The war that the demon lord and hero started many a millennia ago had been going on even in their absence. Void off any other reasons the demons and other mortals waged war against each other back and forth.

???: " Where am I. It's pitch black here and feels like I am in an confined space. No, rather not a confined space rather seems like I am in some kind small dome. Let's strike the dome and escape then. Demonic magic..... ( After a while of awkward silence ) Nothing happened. That is strange did I lose my demonic powers after reincarnating again. Last time I remember I was fighting the hero and we killed each other. Seems that the spell I used work, however I did not think that it would cost me my demonic power. No that's not it. I still have my power it's just sealed somewhere where I can't find it. I will need t work hard to get them back. My 1st problem is getting out off this dome. "

As the demon lord started to move he could feel that his body has changed from its normal appearance. He counted 10 limbs with sharp fangs in his mouth and an abdomen holding everything together. He was curled up with all 10 limbs going across his abdomen. He could feel his hard exoskeleton.

Demon lord: " This body is it part off the exo spider race. As to which one I am not sure. I will have to take a look at myself to be sure about that. For now let's get out of this dome. Dome? No this is a spider egg shell. Then I am part off the lesser exo spider race. That does narrow it down however, that's not specific enough. "

The demon lord gave a strike to the egg shell. His limb bounced back.

Demon lord: " The egg shell itself is also made of the same type off exoskeleton as my body. That means that I'm a variant off the exo spider race. These spiders have no direct evolutionally line for the variant exo spider to follow. They are a unique case that I made to combat the hero's army. Although only one ever came out as successful and is the 2nd strongest being other than myself of course. I did not expect to be part off the same variant exo spider race. Not that I would beat her in a fight anyway. With my current strength Nabila would absolutely erase me from this existence. I was only able to make one off her after all. Even the hero can't kill her. Now then how about I pull all 10 off my limbs closer and tighter to my abdomen and release it. "

After releasing all 10 off his limbs they rebounded back towards him, however a crack started to appear in the exo egg shell. The light was blinding to his 10 eyes at 1st, however he soon got use to it afterwards.

Demon lord: " From total darkness to pure light, how uneasy that makes me feel. This body does not feel like a burden at all. I can control every one off my limbs individually. "

The demon lord moved from side to side with his 5 limbs on the one side standing still while the other 5 limbs go outwards with his body to the other side.

Demon lord: " Right this body is much lighter that it seems. I can even stand on one limb or manoeuvre around without a problem. Seems that I hatched out in a cave off some sorts. No time like the present to explore the world as a spider. "

Before I start with the story let me make some things clear and end this epilogue. The epilogue was made to end the era off the demon lord fighting the hero for many a millennia.

While the demon lord was adjusting to his new body the world has changed severely. The demon lord and hero have been away from the current world for a millennia itself. Both sides still waging war waiting for their leaders to return, however to this day the demon lord never had any intention of returning back as the demon lord. When the fight ended a millennia ago all that remains off the demon lord was his most loyal servant Nabila defending the demon lord's realm till the very end. The hero also died, however left his sword he used against the demon lord behind on the battlefield where Nabila protects the demon lord's realm. The heroic sword lost for a millennia as no one can take the sword that is I the ground from Nabila due to her overwhelming strength. the demon lord himself does not know that he was only reborn after a millennia.
