To be a Demon or Hero

Chapter 6: Explore

Demon Spider: " You know Snow, I have to commend you for your knowledge. I am the being with the most knowledge across the world. After my reincarnation I have no new knowledge of the world. As of the current moment, you are more knowledgeable than me with the current events. How have you acquired your knowledge? "

Snow: " It is true that I am only a mere month old variant snow fiend wolf, however due to my variant type I was fortunate enough to obtain such a vast amount of knowledge. I am still processing the new found knowledge. I was a wondering new-born that wandered around the Valet forest of Syros. At the time I was no different from any new-born wolf. I happened to stumble across human girl at the time. She was surrounded by multiple dead snow fiend wolf bodies. Wearing a black hoodie. I could hardly see her face. She had spoken, unfortunately for me I could not understand her at all. She then flicked her finger across her other fingers. Within mere seconds I could understand her. She spoke calmly. The sound of her voice told me how dangerous she really was even with the voice of a child. "

One month earlier-

???: " You should be able to understand me. Run along. I have enough fur from the snow fiend wolves. Your but a small one. Grow bigger and come back to me  when your strong enough. "

Instead of running off, Snow did the exact opposite. He went closer to the little girl. Upon reaching her, he bowed his head downwards. 

???: " Coming to me instead. You are a brave one. I do not mind acquiring a pet myself. Are you capable of being the familiar of Yolanda the ageless mage? Only time will tell. "

As soon as Yolanda came closer, Snow could see how she looked. She had an mask covering her face at the time. Only her eyes were visible. She had purple eyes with an black attire. The hoodie seemed to be a separate part of the entire attire. She was mostly covered in black. Not one speck of dust or blood could be seen on her.

Back to the present timeline-

Snow: " As from that moment I had started to travel with Yolanda as her familiar. Gaining combat experience and knowledge along the way. The more time I spend with her, the more I realised.... "

Before Snow could speak further he sensed danger ahead. 

Demon Spider: " I felt that as well. Seems like we are not far from the battle ahead. "

Snow: " It reeks of demons and angels. Truly a terrible scent that I can not forget. What shall we do Master? "

Demon Spider: " How about you look after our family here. Protect them. I shall explore towards the battle. "

Snow: " Be wary master. We do not know what the future holds. Especially since most of your powers are sealed away. Rose come here and heal your master. "

The celestia wolf came and healed all of the demon spider's wounds. His body was recovered as is he had never engaged in a fight within mere moments. Rose then added an speed and strength enchantment on the demon spider's exoskeleton. 

Demon Spider: " You impressed me Snow. Being able to name an monster is no easy feat. Rose was it. I shall remember your name well. You have an true talent in the healing arts. I will be off. "

The demon spider ran towards the battle of the demons and angels. As he came close to the battle it was already in favour of the one side. There was an angel dead on the ground. Two other angels seemed to be alive still standing. One was a healer, while the other one was a fighter. The demons were 3 all together. Two were close to the other two angels. Thanks to the healing ability of the one angel the other one did not fall. The angel that died managed to take 5 other demons with him. That had caught the demon spider's attention. He kept watching the fight with the 4. He could sense the other demon, although did not see him on the battlefield. The demon lord saw how the fight would end in his mind. Knowing that he started to walk away. That was until he notices where the last demon was. The last demon was the rogue type. He planned to sneak up on the healer and kill her. Making the fighter angel lose afterwards. The demon lord thought to himself in that moment. 

Demon Spider: " This is not my place to interfere in a battle between mere puppets......... "

The Demon lord remembered back to a time when he fought the hero. He asked the hero why he keeps fighting.

Many millennia ago-

Demon Lord: " You keep on fighting me over many a millennia. To what avail? The results are always the same, human. "

Hero: " Why?????? ( Furious ) WWWWHHHYYYY? ( Determined ) I will not stand aside while the innocent require assistance. If I were to let the world go on as is, then what difference is there between the people who corrupt the world and myself that allowed them to corrupt the world. You may be an powerful being that sees all life forms beneath you. So I can not expect you to understand my struggle. I will thank you still. Thanks to you I have gotten my determination tested time after time. I have grown stronger while obtaining more knowledge. It is thanks to you that I can keep a smile on the faces of the innocent. Even if we fight time after time. I will never forget what you taught me. You do not realise it, however you are also starting to change. You are not calling me a lowly mongrel anymore. If someone of your calibre can show some small amount of change. Then there is still hope for a foolish hero such as myself. "

Demon lord: " If you feel so then so be it. I will admit that I have started to change slightly, not in power, only in mind. I will not call someone a lowly mongrel when they clearly proved themselves to me. Come at me time and time again. I will be awaiting our next dance patiently. Show me you deserve the title of hero. "

A/N: Well that is all for this chapter. I need to add some to other stories as well. For now I will slowly implement the relationship between the hero and the demon lord. Next chapter is the demon spider vs fellow demons
