Synopsis: Lachesis fled from the fight not knowing what to do anymore. Everything she had lived for was gone. What did she do now?

-----------

Lachesis didn't know where to go. She was terrified. The people she thought she could trust were now out to kill her. She was all alone. She had lost her family. She had no one and now she had everyone after her.

She had fled to a dark alleyway, not knowing anywhere else to go. Where did you go when you didn't have a place to call home? What did you do when the whole world had become your enemy?

She wanted to hate so many different people for it ending up this way. Atropos and Clotho for agreeing to work with Geryon. Geryon for taking advantage of the situation. The riders for having to ever get involved in this. The alchemist academy for ruining their original plans. Minato for-

"Lachesis."

A voice startled her out of her thoughts. Lachesis jumped and presses herself against the wall, panic consuming her. She had been found.

Her panic subsided when she saw it was Minato who had found her. Had he been looking for her? Why? He ruined everything too. He went off the plan that he had seemed to be doing. Made her expose herself as an enemy to Geryon. Why did he even care?

"What do you want?" Lachesis asked, her voice cold, but also cracking from the crying she had been doing.

"To talk."

"There's nothing to talk about. Just leave me alone. Everything's over for me."

"It doesn't have to be." Minato sat down beside her.

"How isn't it over? They're after me." Lachesis questioned doubtfully.

Minato sighed at her response. "Earlier you asked me to tell my students to protect you. Well, you could still seek them out, can you not? I don't know if I can tell them anything right now, but that doesn't mean you can't talk to them on your own."

"Why would they help me...?" Lachesis grumbled. "You just want me dead. All of you."

"Then why did I protect you? I could've let you die right then and there."

Lachesis paused. She hated that he had a point. Despite her anger toward him for ruining what she had been hoping on, he had still put himself in danger to protect her. He didn't see her as an enemy...

"Doesn't mean your students share the sentiment." Lachesis argued.

Minato looked up at the sky. "I think you're underestimating Ichinose. He's never played by the rules."

"You're telling me to ask that kid for help and somehow he'll get all his little alchemist buddies to not kill me?" Lachesis was doubtful.

"It's him that's gotten us all this far right now, as much as I hate to say it. That kid somehow brings out the things he wants to see." Minato sighed. "He's the reason my original plan went astray. His determination to get me back by their sides was too much for me to keep fighting against."

Lachesis sighed as well. "Fine... if you're so certain, I'll think about it."

"For now, do you want to come with me? You need a place to go, right?" Minato stood up and held out a hand to her. "We're on the same team now."

Lachesis blinked at him for a minute. If she did this, she truly was turning her back on the life she had known. There was no going back. She was already no longer with her sisters. She had nothing to lose except her life at this point. Might as well take the leap.

She grabbed his hand. Minato helped her to her feet. After a long moment of silence, he guided her to the place he was staying at.

"This is your home for as long as you need it to be." Minato said as he showed her around.

"I still don't understand why you are kind to me after everything I have done. Do my sins not bother you?" Lachesis questioned.

"I can't fully explain. Something just is telling me to help you. There's something I saw in you when you started doubting everything that made me want to help."

"Thank you... for giving me a chance."
