Dreadful Reunion Pt. 2

Jaune and Hirose continued to drive down the Freeway but both were unsure of where to go, that was until Hirose pointed out a helpful observation.

"Follow the destruction." it didn't take long for Jaune to realize that it was exactly how Hirose described.

Cars had been piled up and turned over, many had crashed on the side of the road, and a lot of people were injured, some were even crying inside or at the side of their cars.

Jaune didn't focus too much on them, knowing that whatever bad thing happened, it wouldn't be easy for them.

"We have to do something." Jaune suddenly said, "Like what? What could we do for them?" Hirose didn't sound like he was disagreeing with Jaune, but he was more curious about what his partner had planned.

"When we find Torchwick, stay behind and call everyone to come and help, this is still technically Junior's territory after all so I bet he would have to do something about this."

"You know they won't do that, we can't spare everyone to just come by and help these people."

"It doesn't have to be a lot, why not put our new medics to work? They do need the experience. Besides, it's just until the ambulance gets here."

"Do you think Junior will do it?"

"Well, he'll get noroity for it sure, but from what I've known of him. He won't just let someone needlessly suffer. We don't work like that."

Jaune pleaded his case and explained his plan, yet Hirose believed it was just an idealized best-case scenario. He didn't truly believe that they'd actually answer his call and come by.

But he was right, Junior wouldn't let something like this continue if he could help some, nowadays anyway.

Hirose suddenly pushed on the car's brakes, because in front of him was a frozen patch of highway. Knowing the limits of his car, he wasn't driving through that unless he wanted to crash.

Looking further up the road he could see that some had already did. "This is it!" He heard Jaune yell as he got out of the car.

Looking around Jaune was able to see a part of the holographic wall disabled with a bit of the edge destroyed.

"Thanks, Hirose! Call Junior and tell him what to do. In the meantime, I'm going to take care of Torchwick."

"Be careful Jaune." Was all he could say, "I will."The Blonde Gangster had replied, closing the door he ran to the ice patch stopping a few inches in front of it.

"What is he doing?" Hirose couldn't help but ask himself, but he would be surprised as he watched the ice explode. Stepping out of the car he saw how Jaune was making a wide unfrozen path as walked forward.

First it was a few steps, then a light jog, and then he started to run, the ice breaking apart a path for him wherever he walked.

Eventually, the young gangster would make it to the other side with a makeshift path to get there by car, "A bit of the road is missing some chunks, but I bet it's still drivable on." Hirose thought to himself.

What made Hirose's jaw drop was when Jaune smashed his fists to the road and glowed, Jaune was using his grey-white Aura, and suddenly a large set of green vines popped out and grabbed onto the crashed cars. Pulling them onto his side of the road.

After seeing the people safe, he ran onto the ice and started to slide toward the bridge's opening where the broken holographic wall was.

"It doesn't look like he's going to make it," Hirose thought to himself. He believed Jaune had miscalculated and was going to hit the other wall next to the opening. "That naive dumbass..." But in a twist of fate, he couldn't explain how Jaune suddenly changed paths and slid back toward the opening.
