The horns of the train was loud , Maya glanced outside of the window of her compartment she was alone , the families of the students waved goodbye to their children as the train started to move some even cried and shouted reminders to their children.
Maya took her eyes off and opened the book that was on her lap , it was an old book a novel by charlotte Brontë it was interesting but it failed to take Mayas mind of her own thoughts that weren't really nice.
The door of her compartment opened when she was mid her book , it was Warren which made Maya smile wide.
Warren Baldock is Maya first bestfriend , he was the closest to her than her other bestfriends plus they have been friends the longest, they met first in their first year at the train and just clicked even though they were in different houses they remained close friends Warren didn't really care about houses rivalry and kept being friends with Maya.
He is one of the smartest in hogwarts well that before Hermione granger came he was a bit bitter when he heard about not being the smartest anymore but with time he just didn't care about it anymore, he was serious most of the time and he was the mature one in their friends group and the voice of the reason.
"I was looking for you"Warren said with a slight smile and sat beside her "Jane eyre? Really?"he said and shook his head"there are far more interesting books than this trust me".
"Come on now ren it is actually interesting, I'm even close to finish it"Maya said and closed the book.
"How was your holiday by the way?"she said looking at him , Warren didn't really change that much in terms of appearance he was taller and he had that old same resting face.
"It was great actually went with my grandfather to Germany saw some museums I enjoyed it , and you? I recall you writing to me that it's been a bit...rough in your letters"Warren said with worried eyes.
Maya sighed she didn't really want to talk about it but she knows she can't hide anything from Warren if she didn't tell him now he will know by himself and give her a very long lecture on how it's alright to talk to someone sometimes.
"It's that...one night it was a full moon my parents had let me out and when I went to the forest to transform I just lost it I don't really remember but it felt like I've gone mad trenching trees and howling very loud"Maya said a lump formed in her throat and she swallowed it with force she didn't want to cry infront of Warren she don't want him to be worried about her especially since it's O.W.L.S year.
Warren frowned confusedly"that never happened before?"he asked ,Maya shook her head no "that's strange"he muttered.
"Maya I know you will hate what I say right now but..I think it's time you tell professor snape"he said seriously, Maya huffed and sat in a position so she can face him.
"No ren he is going to rat me out to dumbeldore and then I'm going to get expelled!"maya said her eyes wide , she held on the book that was in her lap tightly , she doesn't want to tell snape what if he ran to dumbeldore saying that there is a werewolf who is mingling with the other students what if they thought that she was too dangerous and expel her.
