Sadi's POV

I stare out the window, watching the crisp autumn leaves fall off the trees that line the desolate road my taxi steadily drives along.

I relish in the journey, not being excited for the destination.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for this new opportunity and maybe a fresh start will be good for me but I can't help but feel unwanted, I asked my mum for help, begged even and her first response was to send me across the country to a school called Kamome Academy just so I wouldn't damage her perfect reputation.

'Youre always creating problems Sadi'
She would always say.

No matter what I do I can't seem to live up to the impossible expectations she sets for me. I got good grades, I worked everyday and volunteered in my spare time and she still criticized me for being lazy and wasting my potential. At times like these, I remember how life was back then when dad hadn't left us to go abroad to work.

But I love my mum, I really do, I want nothing more in the world than for jer to just look at me and tell me she's proud, proud of all the effort I have to put in just to keep living but she never will because she's never noticed.

I snap out of my thoughts due to my driver, Mister.Tanaka informs me I have arrived at the school. I look out and see the magnificent big building Infront of me, suddenly I get filled with nervousness and anxiety. What if my new classmates don't like me? What if they think I look weird? What if I'm a loner forever?

I push away those thoughts and get out the car, I grab my bag and straighten my uniform and let out a deep sigh. 'I can do this, I'm strong' I say to myself and set off to school.

I enter the building and try to find the class 3-1, after about 20 minutes of trying to find it I will couldn't so I start panicking. I take deep breaths and try to call myself down, when all of a sudden I bump into someone and fall to the ground.

'Ow!' I exclaim, rubbing my forehead. I look up to see who bumped into me. It was a blonde guy that seemed to be my age.

'Oh my god! I'm so sorry' he says and offers me a hand. I get up and reassure him it's fine.

'Hey, I've got a question! Do you perhaps know where class 3-1 is?' I ask him, and his expression suddenly turns more bright.

'Yeah! I go to that class. Are you perhaps a new student?' He asks me and I nod. 'Great, follow me quickly before we get late.' He says and I do as he says.

We enter the classroom and he goes to sit down. The teacher calls me to the front of the board to present myself to everyone. The anxious feeling in my stomach worsens, if it wasn't obvious by now I have social anxiety. That's also one of the reasons my mom went me away, she thinks it's an unnatural health condition. I take deep breaths and I put on the best smile I can.

'Hello everyone, my name is Sadi. I recently moved from Shibuya, I hope we can all be friends!' I say, and everyone starts clapping. The teacher points at an empty seat for me to sit, which coincidentally is behind the guy I met earlier.

I go sit down and take out my notebook and pencil case. The guy from earlier turns around.

'Sadi huh? My name is Kou Minamoto. Would you like to hangout with me and my friend later?' He asks cheerfully

'Oh yeah sure!' I say smiling, relieved that I made at least one new friend.

(Time skip to end of class)

'Ugh, this teacher is so annoying. He always gives us homework, one day I swear I will make him bald.' Kou complains, he's super talkative I notice.

'Oh god, I pray I can pass this class' I say crossing my fingers and laugh.

Me and Kou chat along whilst walking to the garden to meet his friend. He's actually really funny, and a bit stupid. He told me he comes from a family of exorcists, but I don't believe it. Truthfully, I've never been one to believe in such stuff ever since I found out the tooth fairy wasn't a real person at the young age of 5. He tells me we're here and I see a girl with light blond hair with faded green highlights at the bottom of her hair and very small bangs.. which I'm assuming is his friend.

'Hi senpai!' Kou waves dramatically at her.

'Oh hi Kou-kun! Who is the girl behind you?' She asks smiling and looks at me, she's so pretty I get shy.

'That's my new friend. Her name is Sadi, she's new to this school.' He introduces me to her and I wave to Nene 'Hi!!'

(Time skip to them talking about random shit)

Suddenly I remembered something I was really wanting to ask them. 'Hey, do you guys know what the 7 school mysteries are? I heard some girls whispering about them in class'.

'Everyone knows about the 7 school mysteries at school, but not as good as me and Kou do. The 7 school mysteries are basically supernatural phenomenons within this school. Each one of them have their own backstory. We've been studying them for awhile now, I've written down information about each one of them in a book. Do you want it?' Nene smiles at me and offers a thick cover brown book. I nod and thank her, taking the book.

(Time skip to library)

It is now the end of school day, the chilly breeze suddenly hits me, sending goosebumps throughout my skin, I grab my cardigan that I had kept inside my bag incase it got cold and wore it. I heard there was a big library just 5 minutes away from campus so I decided to go there to focus on my homework. I'm normally not someone that does homework the day it's assigned, but I was watching too many productive school videos before I came here. This productiveness will probably wear off in a week but I'll try.

I reach the library and go to the second floor because it is the quietest one, I go to a seat in the corner of the floor and put on my headphones. I start writing an essay that I got as homework.

It is absolutely the most perfect place to study. The library has huge windows that allows you to look out at the city, and it reflects the beautiful contrast of sunset and rain outside.

All of a sudden, a sweet smell of Oreo donuts and hot chocolate invades my nostrils. I look down from the balcony of the second floor and find a small bakery inside the library, I decide to take a break and order some fresh delicious donuts.

After buying a donut and some hot chocolate, I return to my seat and decide to check out the book Nene gave me.

I flip the pages, giggling at the descriptions. There's no way anyone believes this. What a bunch of bullshit. I take a bite of my chocolate donut, the warm filling of chocolate invading my taste buds, leaving a delicious finish too. I continue reading and making fun of the book, and before I know it, I lose track of time and fall asleep in the library.
