Alyssa was what some may consider a normal girl from the outside looking in but when you got the know her deeper than the surface level you would know that not much about her life was normal and that the was struggling with things just like everyone else in this world.
She came from a single parent household It was just her , her mom , and her brother , her dad had previously been involved in her life but she cut all contact with him and that side of her family for a reason that she will open up more about as the book goes on. Her mom always worked and provided for her and her brother their relationship had not always been the best it seemed like it went downhill once she reached her teenage years and she could finally started forming her own thoughts and opinions about things. If she did not have the same thoughts or viewpoints as her mom she was seen as disrespectful which was absurd in her opinion. their relationship had been rocky since she was about 15 years old , she was now 21 and trying to mend their relationship some days were good but unfortunately some days were really bad as well .
Alyssa worked , that is something she admired about herself she was a go-getter anything she wanted she knew she would get it someway and somehow. She had her own business of doing lashes which brought her in great income every month . She loved doing lashes because it was an art and a craft for her and she loved to see the look on her clients faces when she was finished getting them together. She also was a full time college student she went to a college near her house , half of her classes were online , and half were in- person so it gave her a good balance to be able to go to school and still take clients as well. She could not wait to be done with school she knew immediately after she graduated she wanted to pick up and move to a completely different state and start a completely different life . Although Chicago was home and she loved it dearly she knew she did not want to stay , and that is why she had been stacking her money like crazy for the last year and a half . Because she knew as soon as she graduated she was gone .
Her love life was simple but complicated at the same time she was with her "high school sweetheart" as some may say in total they had been together for about 5 years , but of course they had broken up numerous times in that span but they somehow always found their way back to each other. She loved him dearly but there were just a lot of things she was not happy with in the relationship she was not being pleased sexually , mentally , or emotionally . It was almost as if they had been together so long that they (he more so ) were just going through the motions. No effort just the same routine it was getting boring , and draining to excitement . But she loved him and she was attached. She was also afraid to be alone she was a true lover girl and there was no denying that. She had always found herself settling for whoever she dealt with nobody ever marked off all her boxes. Although she knew nobody was perfect she knew that there was someone out there that was going to love and cater to all her needs mentally , emotionally , Sexually.. she did not know who it was but she had a yearning feeling in her heart that her soulmate was out there , and little did she know she would soon meet the man of her dreams that would make all of her WILDEST dreams and desires come true...
