The Crimes of 1999 // A Chuckle Sandwich Fanfiction

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW (Fandom info/Tw etc.)

Hello reader!

While I've been writing and trying to promote this story, I've gotten mostly people who don't know who the chuckle boys are. This is me explaining it :)

First, I want to say; you do not need to know who these people are or any of the fandom jokes or references to understand this story. They are mostly thrown in there because I think it's funny and I want my fellow Chucklers to pick up on them lol. If there's something brief that doesn't make sense, it's probably not important to the plot, so dw <3

Chuckle Sandwich is a comedy podcast hosted by Ted Nivison, JSchlatt, and (formerly) Charlie Slimecicle, who are all twitch streamers and youtubers. Schlatt and Charlie were a part of the Dream smp (dsmp) in the early 2020's so I consider this a niche in the mcyt community. Especially as of late with Ted and Schlatt being on the sdmp (sleep deprived multiplayer server). Go check them out!! They're really funny and make genuinely good content. (Links at the bottom)

Although I am writing them as characters and giving them new or changing attributes, that does not change the fact that THEY ARE REAL PEOPLE NOT CHARACTERS. So please, do not ask for me to write about them in a situation where they are being shipped with each other or anybody else (even y/n or an oc). I will not do it. Even c! (character) versions of them from old lore or whatever. Their characters on that server (dsmp) are so similar to how they actually present themselves in their solo content that it would still feel wrong.

I'm writing this story because I wanted an easy-ish start to writing long form stories, but I struggle with developing my own characters and I'm familiar with these people (or how they present themselves online that is) so this is my baby step that I'm taking. I've also had this idea for a little while and wanted to finally commit to writing and finishing something while also being able to show it to other people.

This story is inspired by the joke in JSchlatt's community about "the atrocities" he committed back in 1999 (the year he was born lol). He makes many, MANY references to that year and different crimes he ALLEGEDLY committed such as:

Killing a family of five with vehicular manslaughter, luring a homeless man to his death with a can of beans and stabbing him under the alias "Mr. Knife," committing mass homicide with a sword in a public establishment, something to do with a maraca? and steel toe timberlands?? and that one time in 1972... If you really wanna dive deep there's a reddit post somewhere lmao.

There will NOT be any:

- Romance between the Chucklers (including "friends with benefits," they are JUST FRIENDS and REAL PEOPLE)

- Y/N or self inserts 

- Smut 

- Weird kinky shit 

- Graphic descriptions of sexual things/scenes (If you're looking for that, rest assured, there is PLENTY out there for you. But this is not the place)

(I'm not hating on these things on their own just don't be weird about real people)

Trigger Warnings:

- Violent Scenes (Fighting/Injuries/Death) ranging between levels of graphic description 

- Guns and other weapons 

- Language

- Alcohol and other substances (Alcoholism/Functioning alcoholics/Addiction struggles and violent outbursts due to substance abuse)

- Drunk and reckless driving 

A quick note:  This story may get darker and serious depending on where the pantsing process takes me (this is a mafia story after all). But if I get bored there's gonna be a lot of goofy parts and just shit dumping fandom inside jokes and references. 

Translation: tone shifts will potentially be more bipolar than my English teacher. Also, there is no guaranteed update schedule (I'm hoping every weekend, but) it could be days, it could be years, I could abandon this whole thing! I could go back and completely change parts, or everything!! Who knows!? Not you! I just do it for funsies.

Also! I edit as a write so once I post something it's probably not done yet, I just wanna get it out but I go back and edit things over the course of a few days before I make myself leave it be as it is. Once it's all done, I'll probably go back and edit all of it again to finalize it.
