Finally back in my hotel room. It felt like this day never wanted to end. I take a shower to clear my head, hoping to wash the events of that day off.

I was just about to put a Netflix series on as it knocks on the door. I sigh and open up.

It's Lando. He smiles and holds up a cone with ice cream. "You have to let me in now.. You can't say no to ice creeeaam"

I laugh and take the ice cream out of his hand. I try it and it tastes absolutely delicious so I step aside "okayy you can come in". I close the door behind us "to what do I owe this visit?"

He throws himself on my bed. "I want to talk."

I signal him to move and before sit down next to him. "You know I'm glad we get along well, but if I'm not fit tomorrow you will suck as well."

He chuckles "it's just practice. Then the surprise while quali is bigger."

"You're annoying. I think I'll ask Zak if i can go back to IndyCar."

He gives me a serious look "that's not funny."

I smirk "oh I think it is."

"Stop." He sits up "you're changing the topic again."

I shrug and wait for him to continue.

"I'm so glad I met you and don't forget that we're very good friends."

"Where is this going?" I laugh.

"What is the thing between you and Carlos?"

"Ask him."

"Violet. I am here. I am asking YOU. Not him."

I sigh "I hate him and I don't want to talk about him."

"But why?"

I get up and sigh "he almost ruined everything! My whole career!!"He stays where he is and waits for me to continue. I need a few seconds to calm and sit back down.

"I was an intern in 2015 at toro rosso.. I was still finishing my studies but the opportunity was just amazing." Lando listens closely so I keep taking.

"I was working with max mainly especially when I got a job there in 2016.. but uhh yeah. Carlos and I got along really well as soon as we both entered the team."

"Really well huh" he winks and smirks.

I smile "we started dating three months into the season. It was amazing.." I can't help but smile at the only good memories that are left of us.

Lando smiles "I see the smile on your face.. you really want to tell me you hate him?"

"Well I didn't finished.." he signals me to keep going and I did "he got me fired."

"What?" He asks confused.

"We had our perfect relationship.. one morning he woke up and talked to franz tost... the same day i got fired."
