If tomorrow never comes

We're back bitches!

97 years ago, the earth was destroyed in a nuclear disaster, which forced people to leave earth and go to space on an orbiting space station called the ARK. On the ARK, they had rules no matter how small, but instead of going to jail, if you are above the age of 18, you will be floated, but if you are under the age of 18, you will be thrown into the skybox, where you will stay until you turn 18, then you will get reviewed by the Council, though it is rare that you will be released, unless you are someone like me, who killed two guards at the age of 14 all for defending my family, though it's not like the Council cared for my side of the story of why I did it.

 Neera's thoughts were interrupted as four guards came into her cell, "hands against the wall, prisoner 28." One of the guards said, "What?! No, I still have four more years left!" Neera said, getting up, "Hands against the wall, now prisoner 28!" The second guard yelled as all of them except one pulled out their shocks. Neera kicks one of the guards in the stomach, then punches another guard in the neck and tries to make a run for it. "AHHH!" Neera screamed as two of the guards shocked her with the shock baton, making Neera fall to the ground in pain as three guards hold her down and the fourth guard pulls out a big, ugly metal ugly bracelet and forces it onto Neera's wrist. A slight pain runs through her wrist, but it quickly goes away 

"Get off me, you fuckers!" Neera shouts as she fights back against the four guards. Neera was somehow able to get free from the four guards grips, runs out of her cell, and looks over the rail "what the fuck is going on?" Neera thought as she saw a bunch of prisoners being taken out of their cells and onto a pod, "My family, I need to find my family" Neera, though, as she sees the guards running after her she quickly tries running to find her family, but she gets caught by a fifth guard then the other four guards quickly grab her and hold her down as she feels a sharp pain on the side of her neck, and quickly her vision goes black.

Neera groans softly as her vision slowly comes back "Hey pipsqueak, wake up," Neera hears beside her "What's going on?" Neera said as she looked around and saw kids buckled in their seats. It looked like she was on the middle floor of the pod, then she finally looked over to her left and saw a boy with dark blue eyes and brown hair. "Who are you?" Neera asked, not trusting the boy. 

The boy smirked and said, "My name is John Murphy Pipsqueak." Neera glared at the older boy. "Call me Pipsqueak again, and I'll kill you in your sleep." Neera said her voice was cold. All Murphy did was keep smirking at her. "You don't scare me, Pipsqueak. What's your name anyway?" Just as Neera was about to make a snarky comment, she heard Chancellor Thelonious Jaha speak and saw his face appear on the screen. 

"Prisoners of the ARK, hear me now. You've been given a second chance, and as your Chancellor, it is my hope that you see this as not just a chance for you but a chance for all of us, indeed for mankind itself. We have no idea what is waiting for you down there. If the odds of survival were better, we would've sent others. Frankly, we're sending you down because your crimes have made you expendable." 

Neera rolls her eyes. "We are kids, and we're expendable, you fucking asshole." Neera thought as Chancellor Jaha kept talking.

 "The drop site has been chosen carefully. Before the last war, Mount Weather was a military base built within a mountain. It was to be stocked with enough nonperishables to sustain three hundred people for up to two years."

  The sounds of cheering is heard, making Neera roll her eyes. Neera looks over to her right and sees Finn Collins, also known as the idiot who used up 6 months of oxygen to do illegal spacewalking and got his nickname spacewalker, but anyways, she sees a spacewalker floating around the room, and he floated over to Clarke Griffin, the daughter of Abigail Griffin; no one knows why she got locked up, and beside her was Wells Jaha, the son of Chancellor Thelonious Jaha; he got locked up for damaging the last tree on the ARK 

"hey look Wells it looks like your dad floated me after all" Finn told Wells with a smirk as kids cheered his name "hey you two stay in your seats if you want to live" Clarke said as she tried to warn the two boys that were also unstrapping themselves from their chair

 Suddenly, the room starts shaking violently, making the other two boys and Spacewalker fly against the wall. A bit of smoke fills the room. The room keeps shaking violently, then it suddenly stops. Neera lets out a breath; she didn't realize she was holding "listen," a boy named Monty Green who got locked up for stealing herbs from the ARK garden, "no machine hum." 

As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone started unbuckling their straps. A few people went to check on the two boys and Spacewalker. Neera couldn't help but roll her eyes again. "They are most likely dead," Neera thought as she followed a smirking Murphy to the door below them. 

"Need help getting down, pipsqueak?" Murphy asked Neera as he climbed down the ladder. "Touch me, and you'll lose that hand." Neera threatened Murphy as she followed him down the ladder, and that made Murphy laugh softly as he grabbed her hand, not at all scared by her threats, and pulled her over to the door, making sure to keep a tight grip on her hand so he wouldn't lose her in the crowd of kids.

 "stop!" Clarkes said quickly as she pushed her way to the door, "The air could be toxic." Clarke explained, "If the air is toxic, then we're all dead anyway." The guy said, "Can y'all just open the damn door?" Neera thought "Bellamy" Neera hears behind her and sees a girl known as Octavia Blake walk through the crowd, a big smile growing on the said man Bellamy Blake, upon seeing his little sister, "My god, look at how big you got." Bellamy said as he and his sister hugged each other.

 "What the hell are you wearing a guard's uniform?" Octavia asked once they pulled away, "I borrowed it to get on the drop ship." Bellamy told her, "Someone has to keep an eye on you" Octavia smiled up at her brother "where's your wristband" Clarke questions randomly "do you mind I haven't seen my brother in a year" Octavia snapped at Clarke

 "No one has a brother," a random voice called out amongst the crowd. "That's Octavia Blake, the girl that they found hidden in the floor," another voice informed the crowd. None of this sat right with Octavia as she tried to lunge towards the crowd, not liking the way they spoke about her. However, the older Blake sibling was able to hold her back. "Octavia, Octavia, no," Bellamy firmly said. "Let's give them something else to remember you by."

"Yeah? like what?" Octavia snapped.

"Like being the first person on the ground in 100 years," Bellamy replied to Octavia, looking her in the eyes. "It's been 97 years, but whatever," Neera thought Octavia nodded her head before Bellamy turned back to the door, pulling on the lever. Immediately, everyone was blinded by a bright light squinting or covering their eyes. Octavia took a deep breath before slowly walking down the ramp.

Stopping at the end, Octavia smiled before jumping down her feet, touching the dirt below her. Once taking in her surroundings, Octavia raised her arms in the air.

"We're back bitches!"
